Dancing In The Rain

Maya's pov

I'm sitting in the living room of my apartment. my wife is sitting next to me. I look outside and see the rain falling down. She can see i'm looking at the rain like a little kid would. She can tell I just want run outside and dance in the rain..

I know it sound weird for a 24 year old to want to run outside and basically catch a cold by doing that. but I cant help it especially since that's how my wife and I first started dating.

flashback

I walk into school not wanting to see her. She would always think of me as I a friend. I will never be something more just some dumb 15 year old with a one-sided love. I have to just block out my feeling so I make fun of her. I just stare at the floor so I don't do anything stupid but once I look up I see her kissing him . the King ass Lucas . I can feel the tears start to fall down my face. I know it's stupid because she is just a crush but to me its more to me. so I instantly start running. I see the double doors and hear someone calling my name but I don't stop. I get outside and its raining. of course. i'm still running and I cant hear her calling my name but I don't stop running until I get to the park. I sit down on the swings soaking wet with it still raining.

"why did you run away" I hear her voice from behind me but I don't reply.

"Maya please answer me" she asks again with her voice cracking.

"what do you want Riles just go away" I say not really wanting her to leave.

"NO MAYA.......TELL ME" She says louder then she did before.

"why do you even care" I say turning my head towards her.

"because I LOVE YOU" She says instantly covering her mouth regretting what she just said.

" you what"

"NOTHING"

"you love me" tears start falling down my face again blending in with the rain.

"maybe" She whispers but I can still hear her

"i love you too honey and this isn't any joke I really do" I say getting up from the swing

"Maya please promise me this isn't a joke"

" I promise"

"Maya will you please go out with me"

"of course"

"now can I kiss you"

"if you can catch me" I say running into the playground. I was about to slide down the slide when I feel her arms wrap around my waist and she spins me around and kisses me. it was short but passionate.

"i love you"

"i love you too"

then we just stood there and started swaying and began to dance in the rain

flashback over

"you want to go out there don't you" she says.

"yep" I say getting up and walking to the door. "you coming"
