Days since the Parker's have been missing : 3

Ever since this whole thing happened, I'm finding it incredibly hard to sleep. I toss and turn constantly, plus I'm too scared to sleep. This feeling I have is like when you decide to watch a scary movie right before bed and you're too paranoid to sleep afterwards despite your tiredness. I guess that's the word I was looking for, paranoid. I'm also worried about all the stuff I missed in school. Picture it now, having a thousand worksheets to do. Doesn't that sound fun.

I know my Aunt had a few choice words for detective Grey, but I personally liked her. She's sassy, yet kind at the same time. My Aunt can come off a little strong sometimes but I don't really blame her. Since her husband died, which was like 2 years ago, she's never been her same bubbly-self. I miss the old Claire.

Aunt Claire would always watch me after school since my parents constantly had busy schedules. We'd play cards non stop and she'd always take me to the playground by the park. Sometimes we'd even get ice cream and she'd even let me give her makeovers and vise versa. My mind reverts back to the thought of my Uncle. It was truly tragic though, my Uncle's death. His name was Ron.

About two years ago, in the middle of a cold autumn day, there was a house fire a few houses down from my Aunt and Uncles house. I guess the people who lived there left their stove on for too long, because the entire house was eventually engulfed in a blaze. My Uncle, being a retired firefighter, felt like he had to run in their house in order to save one of the kids that was still in there. Needless to say, he managed to get the kid out but got stuck during the process. The firefighters that had just showed up, tried their hardest to put out the flames and try to get my uncle out. It was too late though. The fire was so bad that roof ended up collapsing while he was still inside. My uncle and two other firefighters died that day.

News had spread quickly and the first time my Aunt had heard about what was going on, was through the news at her job. That must have been awful. Uncle Ron's funeral was held a week later, with most of the town showing up as well. Uncle Ron and the two other firefighters were named official honorary town heroes. His two year death anniversary is coming up soon. That must be so hard for Aunt Claire. With her brother gone and her husband, I don't even know how she's dealing with everything.

I've spent over an hour and a half of just thinking about my family and life to the point where I don't want to think anymore. I think it's about time I try to get some sleep. After another hour of tossing and turning I finally manage to sleep.
