POINT OF VIEW: Cory Kensington
It's been 2 days since I've last talked to Ella. I still feel like crap for acting the way I did.
She currently sits across the cafeteria with a bunch of other girls, slowly nibbling away at a carrot stick, staring idly into space as the people around her buzz with conversation. Part of me wants to go up and apologize, but the other part of me keeps me rooted in my seat, because of the possibility that she's better being with some other people. After all, we've pretty much been joined at the hip since kindergarten.
"Cory!" I hear one of the guys beside me holler, before I feel a spoon of something mushy hit me in the face. I let out a disgusted noise, before grabbing a napkin off of my tray and wiping it out of my eye. Guess we've got some pudding slingers in our midst. I crumple up the napkin, before throwing it aimlessly across the table. I turn to the guy beside me. --Eric is his name.
"Hmm?" I raise my eyebrows lazily.
"You've been staring over there for the last 10 minutes. Dude, what's up?"
I open my eyes wider. "N-no I wasn't." I furrow my eyebrows.
"Sure you weren't..." A guy sitting at the table across from me affirms.
"Yeah man. We get it. She's pretty hot. But you can't keep staring, or she's going to notice."
I shoot him a glare. He only holds his hands up in defense.
"She's obviously unhappy over there. She's with Stacey and her drones. She's practically begging you to go rescue her. --Sweep her off her feet, then you guys can walk out of the cafeteria together, into the sunset." He wiggles his eyebrows.
"She's pissed off at me." I mumble, poking at the peas on my plate. I don't even know why I even got them. I hate peas.
"Oh! That's the good thing about girls! They get all pissed off about the littlest things, and then, once they finish being moody, they love you again!" Eric smacks me on the back. I wince.
"Oh, sorry, I forgot. Hanging out with girls doesn't allow a lot of hitting. Sorry, bud." He smirks, mock sincerity in his voice.
"Not all girls are bitchy 24/7. And yes, there are other methods of having fun than being violent." I state, getting annoyed with these guys.
"Woah, dude, no need to get defensive. I was just kidding." He widens his eyes, but I can see the corners of his mouth turning up into a grin.
Finally having had enough, I grab my tray from the table, getting to my feet and heading for the exit. I throw my tray on top of the garbage bin, before shoving the doors open and walking through in silence. Letting the door shut behind me. I begin to walk down the corridor, when I hear the door creak open again.
"Listen, I'm sorry. I'm just in a really bad mood." I say, slowing to a stop in the middle of the hall.
"Me too." I hear a familiar voice state quietly.
I turn around slowly.
"Ella." I mumble.
She speed walks toward me, tears welling up in her eyes as I wrap my arms around her waist. She buries her face in the crook of my neck, her vanilla scented shampoo filling my nose.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm--" She repeats over and over again, the words coming out muffled.
"It's okay." I whisper. "I'm not mad."
She suddenly goes quiet.
"What?" She pulls away, looking straight at me, her eyes the colour of melted chocolate, as I'd always described it when we were younger.
"Why?" She studies my face.
I roll my eyes. "Elle, I was the one who was being a dick. You wanted to see your dad, and my jealousy got the better of me. I was being selfish."
"Jealousy?" She raises an eyebrow.
I turn away. "Ya, whatever."
There's a pause, and I start to worry if she's going to ask about it again.
"Well Cory," She stops for a second, and I look at her again. She studies me carefully as she speaks. "...Do me a favour, and never be selfish again." She gives me a small smile, and I expect her to continue.
...I did not however, expect her to kiss me on the cheek.
Her cheeks take on a rosy pink colour, but before I can do or say anything else, the cafeteria door swings open.

OU-LA-LAAA! Ella, you sneaky little girl! xD
Sorry I didn't update when I thought I would... My mom started pulling apart the router upstairs, so that means no Wi-Fi for me... :'(
But it's up now, so that's the good thing. Chapter 14 will be up soon as well.
THE STORY IS SO CLOSE TO THE END, AND IT MAKES ME REALLY SAD!
Okay, so last night, I had a dream about Ella and Cory. I won't tell what it was about, because it might be sorta like a spoiler, so I'll just leave it at that...
OH!!! Also, I've been thinking about changing the title... I don't really like it, because it's not very original or creative. Any suggestions? I want it to possibly be like an inside joke, or some type of reference to something Ella and Cory have mentioned/done in the book...
#TeamColla (see what I did there? Go couple names!!)
This chapter is dedicated to my good friend and classmate, @ElishaViolet, because it was both her's, and @xHaileyx94's constant begging for me to update ASAP that this chapter is here in the first place.
Adios, mi amigos!
