Chapter 5: How To Find Ships

I believe we have covered most, if not all, of the terms used in shipping. Now that we have our new vocabulary at hand we must learn where ships are and how to ship.

I've learned that there are multiple ways to find ships. Some might come across them naturally while taking interest in a work of series. Others may start to research a certain ship because their friends start to ambush them with how amazing their OTP is.

I've asked a couple students outside of my class about how they found their OTP.

Chiaki Nanami says, " What's an OTP?"

Souda says, "I kinda just saw her and I was in love. Shipping myself with Miss Sonia is an OTP, right?"

An anonymous student said, " Stop trying to make me answer your goddamn questions!" before punching me in the eye.

Ibuki Mioda said, " Ibuki watched Black Butler and thought that the butler was one hell of a hottie! Ibuki now ships her OC with him!"

After hearing the last comment I decided to ask expert Yamada Hifumi about what an 'OC' was.

" OC stands for Original Character. They are a character you make. Since they are your character you can insert them into any situation you want! They can even go into other fandoms! My OC is a time traveler who runs into yuris..."

After hearing about all of Yamada's OC's travels I decided to go home and find a ship of my own.

While I was walking home Junko Enoshima recommend I watched a show called My Little Pony. The title seemed very off putting and the first episode left me appalled.

There is no physical way that equestrian beings can talk unless they have some sort of technology wired into them. Dragons are mythical creatures. They can not talk either and they are not real. Of course, this is all a cartoon show and because of that none of this is supposed to make sense. But that does not cover the fact we are showering our youths of today with lies! We shouldn't lie to our children and tell them a horse has magic powers! We are condemning society with this nonsense.

Nonetheless, I did finish watching the first two episodes in a desperate act to find a ship. I still have not seen one I have taken a liking to.
