AUTUMN'S POV-
"I swear you're a waste of space" my mom spat at me before pushing me out the door so I could go to school.
I sighed standing up and began to make my walk towards school. Normally, it didn't take me too long. But my mom had pushed me down the stairs this morning, she hurt my leg so I was limping.

When I finally got to the school, I put my head down and tried to push through people. I got to my locker and put some things in and took things out quickly before closing it.
"Hey Autumn!" I heard someone call for me and I turned around seeing one of my best friends, Mayana.
"Hey May" I smiled at her and she gave me a bear hug. I laughed only trying to cover up the pain in my sides.
"Are we still hanging out after school?" She asked
"Yea, is your brother still coming?" I replied
"I think so, it's cool if he brings his friends" she gave me a pleading look
"Of course, I don't mind" I shrugged and she gave me a big smile in return.
"Great! It'll be so much fun" she hummed and we started making our way to class, "why are you limping?"
"I tripped down the stairs this morning, no big deal, I should be fine in a couple hours" I lied and she nodded believing me.
"Just be careful on it, don't need you in a cast" she joked and we laughed.
"Hey guys!" We looked up and saw Carmen making her way towards us.
"Hey Carmen!" We waved
"We still on for today" she asked as we walked into class
"Yup" I smiled popping the 'p'
"Great I'm about to kick all your guys' asses" she beamed and we rolled our eyes
"Shut up" May groaned making Carmen giggle

"LOOK AT THAT!" Carmen shouted and we laughed as she made the hole in two tries. We had met up with Mayana's brother at some mini golf place that he suggested a while back.
Her brother, Adam, had brought three of his friends, Matt, Tyler, and Ryan. They were all tall, at least to me they were, I barley stand at 5'2. They probably look like giants next to me, almost everyone does.
"Shut up already we know you're winning" May hit her arm
"Let her have her fun May, you know how she is" I laugh
"Yea, May" Carmen teased
"Come on there's only two more holes left" Matt smiled and we all followed the arrows on the floor to the next hole
"It doesn't look too bad" Adam shrugged
"Okay guys, it's your last chance to try and beat me" Carmen chuckled
"I'm only behind by one, so don't get too cocky here" Ryan explained as he went to hit the ball
"I'm still in the lead" she mumbled
"Are we gonna get food after this" I turned to May
"Yea if you want. Are your parents coming home late again?" She asked
"Yea" I nodded
I honestly don't know, I never knew when they would me home it was random. Most nights they went to bars anyways so I was probably right.
"Can we get pizza?" Tyler asked
"What else would we get" Adam chuckled

I slowly crept in my front door trying to be as quiet as possible. I saw one of the cars in the drive way and I knew one my parents were home. I quickly tried to make it up the stairs only to be pulled down by my hair.
"Where the hell were you?" My dad yelled
"I was o-out with friends" I replied
"Liar! You were probably fucking around with some guy again weren't you?" He spoke through gritted teeth, alcohol lingering in his breath. He threw me on the ground and kicked my stomach.
"No, I'm not like that!" I defended myself standing up off the ground
"Stop being such a whore and maybe I'll believe you!" he pushed me back down again before he walked away.
