AUTUMN'S POV-
We were walking out of the school laughing at the lame joke Carmen had just told us. School had just ended and we all planned on going to movies to see a new film that just came out not to long ago. We piled in May's car, before heading off.
"Do you guys want to spend the night, my parents are still gone and Adam is having his friends over?" May asked us
"Yea, you still have some of my clothes there right" I replied and she nodded
"Sure, sounds like it'll be a blast" Carmen joked and we rolled our eyes

We sat around May's table eating McDonalds that we bought after the movie for dinner. We could hear her brother and his friends upstairs yelling at the game they were playing.
"Have you started the English assignment" Carmen asked
"No I don't understand the book" May sighed
"I finished last week in study hall" I nodded and they looked shocked
"Must be nice to be in that class" May spoke sarcastically making me laugh
"It's boring, everyone is so quiet in that class" I explain and they just laughed
"Better than gym" Carmen sighed
"Or being a teacher's aid, I swear I'll forever have papers to grade" she shook her head
"Yea, true" I agreed grabbing a french fry and shoving it in my mouth. Just then we could hear all the boys coming down the stairs.
"You guys got food!" Matt yelled excitingly
"Yea, it's in the kitchen" May yelled back. They all came and sat next to us around the table
"Can we play some board games" I asked May
"Yea, what games should we play this time?" She smiled

We sat around the living room playing headbands. I was on the floor laughing at Tyler trying to guess his.
"Oh my god, that was funny" I sighed as the timer went out, he just glared at me
"Can we watch some movies instead of playing these games" Tyler huffed
"Yea, we can" Adam nodded chuckling. We put the board games away and picked out a movie to watch
"Are my clothes still in your room?" I asked standing up
"Yea, in the top right drawer of my dresser" she explained and I nodded walking up to her room. I opened the drawer and shuffled through it hoping I still had my sweats from last time. I panicked only seeing some workout shorts. I sighed shaking my head, I took out my hoodie and closed the dresser.
"Hey, did you find your clothes?" May asked walking in
"Yea, um did I take my sweats home" I looked up at her
"Yea, I think I remember you wearing them home one time but you have some shorts, just wear those" she shrugged
I opened the drawer grabbing the shorts and walking into the bathroom across the hall. I changed into them and threw the hoodie over my head. I sighed seeing the bruises that littered my legs. I fold my clothes and set them back in her room before heading back downstairs.
"Autumn!" Carmen yelled with a smile when she saw me but it quickly changed when she saw my legs "oh my god, your legs!"
"Oh, I fell down the stairs again the other day" I shrugged and walked around the couch to sit down. I saw all their stares watching my legs as I sat. I grabbed a blanket covering them up and looking at the tv before the movie started.
