Dakota’s POV
Tony was there, holding both of my hands, staring into my eyes. I blushed and looked away. He moved his hand up to my face to move my eyes back into his stare. I laughed and he got out of bed, taking me with him. I had just woken up and I realized I was starving. There were pancakes on the table, my favorite. He sat across from me, making me laugh and smile. We talked for a while, it seemed. Then all of a sudden, he got up, and went into Audrey’s room, carrying out flowers. I was overjoyed, but it didn’t seem right. He brought them out to me, and laid them on the table, saying “These are for you, beautiful.”
I smiled at him, taking the flowers, and ran my fingers through his hair. I felt a shock of pain, and flinched, but thought nothing of it, and did it again. I flinched once more.
“What’s wrong?” Tony asked me.
“Nothing, I just…” I once more, played with his hair, having the feeling that I did this often, but not for him. I felt the pain in my stomach again. I sat there next to him, my hand in his hair, I refused to move it, when the door burst opened. My head whipped to see it was Vic. He was smiling until he saw us. Tony stood right up.
“Vic! Hi man! I was keeping Kota company for you, just like you asked!”
I took a deep breath, preparing to see Victor get angry at him.
But he instead walked over and bro-hugged him, then took his place next to me and wrapped me in his arms. All of a sudden, everything felt right. I liked the way I felt with Tony, but with Vic, I felt whole and perfect and like nothing was better. I looked up at him and he smiled down at me.
“You wouldn’t think I’d let Tony take you away from me, that turtle!” he said smiling.
“I didn’t think you would,” I smiled back at him, knowing all the things he had done for me. Then all of a sudden, there was light and I woke up, with Vic’s arms around me, his arm under my neck, and the other one holding me tight. I blinked my eyes to get the sleep out of them and tilted my neck up to look at Vic. He opened his eyes and he looked so damn cute.
“Hi sleepyhead,” I said, moving my arm up and brushing a piece of his hair out of his face.
“Good morning sleepyhead,” He said with the sexiest smile on his face. “Hey wait, what did you call me? I’m the one who calls you sleepyhead!”
“I know,” I told him with an innocent smile.
“Wait, but…,” he stopped mid sentence, processing the thought, and so did I. “You remember me calling you sleepyhead?” He asked, biting his lip.
“Yeah..” I said shyly and almost confused. “How could I forget?”
“Kota -” my heart fluttered. “Do you reme- ” he wasn’t able to finish his sentence. I grabbed the side of his face and tilted my head up, stopping his lips with mine. We were both laughing, completely overjoyed at that moment. I remembered him. I remembered loving him with everything I had.
His lips were so soft and my whole body felt like it was floating. My heart beat out of my chest, and even though I had felt this with him before, I still couldn’t wrap my mind around it. He grabbed me around my waist and I flinched in response.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, a little worried.
“Don’t you remember that I am ticklish? We’ve been through this before Victor,” I said sneakily kissing him again, and his hand playing with my hair.
I pulled away again and just stared at him. He looked back in awe. He looked as if he were about to cry, in a good way, and I felt happier than I had been in weeks. I grabbed his hand and he squeezed it in return.
