fight - josh (part 1)

Josh has been doing shows in the area for 2 weeks and I haven't seen him since. He was coming home in an hour and I was extremely excited. Walking out of the little coffee shop downtown, I made my way to walk back home as it was only a 2 minute walk.

Arriving home, I unlocked the door and walked in. Hearing some strange noises, I stopped walking to listen out for it. I grabbed the bat Josh usually keeps at the front door for protection. I walked slowly to the noise, and cautiously opened the door to where I thought was emitting the sounds.

I dropped the bat in shock, as tears stung at my eyes, threatening to fall down my face. Right there in front of me, was Josh. However, it was Josh in a bed, with another girl. He looked over straight away, obviously hearing my strangled sob. The girl looked at me, wide eyed as her and Josh frantically pulled on their clothes.

"You didn't tell me you had a girlfriend!" She screamed at him.
"Fiancé." Josh corrected her.

"Ex-Fiancé, now." I cut in, correcting Josh for his correction.
"Wait, no, Ella! Please! You don't understand, it's not what it looks like!" He exclaimed at me.

"What else does it fucking look like!" I shouted back at him, finding anything I could use to throw at him.
"Nothing ever happened! I love you, don't leave, please." He argued.

"Bullshit, you never loved me. Asshole." I sobbed as I stumbled out of our bedroom. I pulled on my coat, that was hanging on the front door and walked out, slamming the door doing so. Crying violently, I strutted into my car, letting out breathy sobs. I pulled out my phone, deciding to call someone who could help me. I thought about someone I could call. Tyler and Jenna.

"Hello?" I heard Tyler's raspy voice speak into the phone. Still hyperventilating, I asked if he was free for me to come see him and his wife.

"Sure. What's wrong?" He asked, sounding concerned.

"Josh cheated on me!" I screamed into the phone. He sighed and told me to come over.

As soon as I arrived there, Jenna was waiting and she pulled me into a comforting hug and she brushed my hair with my fingers, soothing me with her words. "It'll be okay, honey. Everything will sort itself out."

"He never loved me, Jen! He cheated on me! We were going to get married next month! We were going to live a life together! But look at us now, Jenna. He doesn't love me. It was all bullshit, absolute bullshit." I cried.

She hushed me and pulled me into her body again. "That's not true, and you know it. Josh loves you so much, I know he does. I'm sure it was all just a misunderstood mistake. That doesn't make what he did right. However, I'm sure everything will be alright. You guys love each other immensely. Look at you both together, you're made for each other! It's going to be okay."

I calmed down my breathes, wiping away the salty tears that stained my face. "How about we come inside and I'll make you a cup of tea and you can tell me the story of what happened?" I nodded my head and followed her inside, where Tyler was laying on the lounge watching X-Files. It immediately reminded me of Josh. Stop thinking about it, Ella. He's not worth it.

I sat down next to Tyler as he smiled warmly at me, pulling me in for a hug. I can always rely on Tyler and Jenna, they're both such beautiful and caring human beings.

Jenna finished making the tea and handed us all a warm mug of the hot beverage. I blew on it as I exhaled, ready to speak about the recent occurrences. "So, what happened was, I was walking out of that little coffee shop I love. You know what one, with the small library?" They both nodded at me, asking for me to continue my story.

"Well, I was walking home from there. I was planning to clean up the house a little bit when I got there. I wanted to make a little more tidy for when Josh came home. I walked into the house and I heard noises. So, me being a curious person, I decided to investigate the situation. So, I got the bat and I walked to the room where the sounds were coming from."

I continued, "I opened the door and there was Josh. In bed, with another girl I've never even seen before. He was on top of her so they were, you know? So, I screamed at him. Apparently the slut didn't even know I existed. She actually apologised to me but I was too furious to accept her pathetic apology. Same with Josh." I looked down, holding back more tears.

"There's got to be more to this, some sort of an explanation." Jenna rubbed my arm.

"I hope so, Jen. But I don't think so." I smiled weakly at her, appreciating her attempt of making me feel better. I looked over at Tyler and he was fuming. His jaw was clenched and his fists were in tight balls. "This is fucking bullshit. My 'best friend' doesn't pull this kind of crap. That's not who he is. He needs some sense put into him." He shouted aggressively, walking back and forth of the lounge room.

Tyler has always been protective of me. I don't see him any more than a brotherly figure, we have always been extremely close. "Tyler, chill. It's okay." I attempted at calming him down.

"It's not fucking okay, El! He betrayed you, he hurt you! He bloody cheated on you! Who even does that to their fiancé? No one! He's an asshole and he is going to learn that!" He shouted at you, making you retort back in fear and shake with tears. Tyler never swears.

"Tyler, honey. Calm down, she's fragile right now." Jenna comforted me. Tyler's expression softened as he brought me into a hug, apologising for his angry outbreak. "How about you stay with us tonight? You can go back whenever you're comfortable with it and talk to Josh, maybe." She offered.

"That would be wonderful, thank you guys." I smiled at them.

"I'll go set up your room. Tyler, can you help me Hun?" Tyler left the room to help his wife. Minutes later, my room was set up and I was laying in the soft bed, trying to not think about Josh.
"C'mon, El. You have to get some sleep, try not to think about Josh just for a little bit." I nodded at her and layer down under the covers. Her and Tyler hugged me and kissed me on the head goodnight and left the room.

1am -
I heard voices coming from the lounge room. I'm usually a light sleeper so any noises will wake me up from my slumber. I checked my phone to see the time. Jeez, who would be awake now?

"She doesn't want to see you right now, no one does." I heard someone scold.

"Please, I just- I just want to see my fiancé right now." Josh?

"No Josh, we are all pissed at you at this moment. You are the last person Ella would want to see now." I think it was Tyler, said.
