“Well,” I started, calming down a bit now I had gotten a little used to the drug. “After she found me working out, we decided to go on a quick walk, you know, double-check the bar and stuff. Both of our bosses were there. I was injected with the truth serum and I think her boss spiked her drink with something....” I trailed off, allowing James to read my mind.

“Well, looks like we have a problem here.” James ran his hand through his hair, his tan hand standing out starkly against his ebony hair.

“At least we know anything you ask us you have to tell the truth.”

“That or I’ll be a terrible liar.”I responded to Astral’s findings. He didn’t need to know that I had been nearly immune to truth serum for six months, and that my resistance had just broken down a little, so my boss decided to re-build my resistance. He told me that apparently I would encounter truth serum a lot in this mission. “Oh! And I’m supposed to give you guys the same thing.” I said, pulling out and waving around to loaded needles.

“Hey, there! Slow down horsey!”

“We are apparently going to encounter this a lot in this mission. So, if you aren’t going to cooperate, I may just have to freaking knock you out.” I said, walking towards James. He pulled out an antiseptic wipe and first wiped the needle, then his arm off. I jabbed the needle into his arm and squirted the clear liquid into his bloodstream. Astral wasn’t so cooperative; I actually did have to get James to pin him down. But then I managed to get the serum into him.

Five minutes later, Delilah woke up.

~Delilah~

I woke up with a pounding sensation in my head. I could tell that I was now over my drunkenness. The hangover feeling was terrible, though. And then, there was the burning sensation in my arm.

I stood up, and put a hand to my forehead. I glancing around the room, I could see that everyone was still there. James and Taylor were sitting on the couch, cuddling like there was no tomorrow. Astral was floating over to me, a ghost of a smile was on his face.

“Are you okay?”

“I’m hungry.” I whined. Astral did an anime fall.

“Well, the kitchen’s right there. Go get something.” Taylor grunted.

“I don’t want to, though!”

They stared at me, and then burst out laughing. I then collapsed, clutching my arm.

“Delilah? D? Hey! What’s up!?”

“My-my arm!” she wailed. “I’m allergic to-to truth serum!” Her arm promptly began to swell up in hives.

“Shoot.” I murmured. “Ok, Astral, take her to the hospital. James and I’ll stay here.”

“Hey!” She yelled at me.

“I’m kidding, I’m kidding, OK?” James went picked her up, as Astral was too busy fretting over her ‘poor little body’. Ugh. It was disgusting. But, of course, if James did the same to me when I was hurt I would probably think it was cute.

We rushed her into the car, and zoomed to the hospital.

When we got there, Delilah had passed out and Astral had ‘escaped’ into her necklace. We were rushed right in, seeing as Delilah was indisposed.
