Sorry for taking forever! We haven't had time, and one of our teachers just died... Plus, I just started watching Fullmetal Alchemist. ^.^"

Disclaimer: I have no rights to Astral at all, sadly...

On to the story!

~Taylor~

I just stood there, completely and utterly confused. What the heck...? One moment, Delilah was there, then she’s gone and now Astral was blacked out and writhing on the floor. “James, what’s going on?”

“I don’t know. Go to the hotel room and pack everything up, we need to find Delilah.” I nodded, still shocked. My best friend, taken. And the worst freaking part of it? I couldn’t do a damn thing. I just walked back to the hotel room in a numb state of mind.

As I walked back to the hotel room, I ran through different places she could be. “Nope, nope, nope. It certainly doesn’t help that I don’t know any freaking places that would freaking block a mind link!” I sighed.

“Delilah, I really wish you hadn’t been taken.” I flipped out my phone. “Boss?”

“Yes.”

“Delilah’s been taken somewhere that would block a mind link. We have to delay the mission.”

“Mission first, then rescue Delilah.”

“No, Delilah is extremely important. I. Am. Going. To. Find. Her.” I stated, nearly growling out the words. Then I closed my phone, not giving my boss any time to respond.

I turned to James, looking him straight in the eye. “The boss wants us to finish the mission.”

“WHAT? NO!” Astral broke in, his face distraught in the first time I had seen him showing emotion in a while.

“I never said we were going to listen to her.  We are going to find her. Even if it kills me.” I looked both of them in the eye as I said this, and right afterward, I cocked my gun. “I bet the newbies have something to do with this, considering they did nothing about her being dragged off, kicking and screaming.” I turned on my heel to go find a tar-oops, a newbie. (De: Wow, Taylor. Way to call them targets. Ta: Sorry! I needed to let my frustration out on something! De: Is there something I haven’t heard about? Ta: Noooo. *innocent look.*)

We then took off around the building, and when I saw someone, I pinned them against the wall. “Do you know anything about where Delilah may be being kept?” I demanded, a gun at their head.

“N-No! I swear I know nothing!” The high-pitched voice would screech out.

“Liar! Tell me where she is! If you even have a hint.... Tell me or I’ll shoot you.” I cocked the gun.

“I don’t know! I promise! I pinky-promise bite-my-thumb-promise!” And a loud bang would echo through the building.

“Why don’t you have the silencer on it?” James inquired.

“I want them all to know what awaits them if they don’t answer my question.” I said grimly.

This went on until all but one boy- yes, attractive- was being very smart-alecky and annoying.

“You clearly know something.” I countered.

“If I knew something, why would I lie about not knowing who Delilah is? I’ve never seen this girl, and I bet she isn’t as good a kisser as you.” I smiled sarcastically, cocking the gun and making him turn around, so his back was to the wall. He then turned around, pulling my gun hand down so I would shoot my foot or the floor instead. I smiled. He was good, and we may need another person to help us.

“I won’t kill you if you promise to help us AND not give us away. No matter the cost.”

“Deal.” And we shook on it.

~Delilah~

I felt a sudden rushing feeling, and then I was back in the present. A sudden pain made me moan, and then my head felt like it was about to spit open.

“AAARRRRRRGGGGGGGG!!!!” I screamed, feeling a wave of nausea coming on. Then suddenly, I felt nothing. I was falling back into my past.

~Flashback~

Footsteps could be heard echoing throughout the hallway. My heart was pounding, my breath was coming in small pants, and my brain was racing. I was in the middle of a mission, and it was the hardest so far. I was supposed to kill someone very close to me, someone of this very group.

I frowned as the footsteps came closer. I was running silently, my (at that time) white blonde hair was braided down my back, and kept whacking me. Hissing, I batted it away from my face, and ducked into the corner.

The figure that was chasing me stopped in front of my hideaway. My eyes widened as it turned towards me.

“Sorry, Kitty. You tried, but I’m the one that’s going to make it out of this. To bad you’re so good at this. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have sent you...” The deep male voice trailed off, and I saw white teeth shine in the moon light. I drew a breath, and tried to control my voice.

“I-I-I...”

“Don’t worry Kitty. I’ll make it quick.” The hissing sound of steel on leather could be heard. Sword! My mind instantly thought. The flash that followed the sound confirmed my suspicions. I gasped, and crawled further back into my hideaway.

“Don’t think you can hide from me, Kitty. I’ll always find you! You may be good for a twelve year old, but don’t think you’re a match for me! The best in the business!” The sword suddenly came down towards my head. I shrieked, and rolled away. I could feel the blood drain from my face when I heard the clang of metal on stone.

“You got lucky that time Kitty!” He advanced on me again, and I scampered to my feet. He cursed as I jumped passed him, and ran down the hallway. I could hear him following me, and I tried to will myself not to cry.

I summoned my bow as the tears began to fall. I brought the bow up, and grabbed an arrow, notching it to the string. I was about to pull back when the voice broke my thoughts.

“Do you really think you can kill your own father? You’re to weak and soft hearted.” My bow lowered slightly as the tears came faster, blurring my vision. Then, a painful force threw me to the floor, causing my breath to leave me, and my bow to be knocked away. My father leaned over me with a sadistic look on his face.

“What did I tell you? Because you betrayed be, I’m going to have to kill you. Goodbye, my Kitty!” He drew back his sword, then it clattered to the floor. Blood splattered everywhere, and my father kinda leaned left, then fell right. A knife was buried in his chest, and blood was pouring out of his wound onto me.

My eyes widened as I stifled a scream. I had killed my father. My stomach turned, and I crawled away from the dying man in front of me. I then stood up, grabbed my bow and knife, and ran.

~End flashback~

I came back to reality with a scream.
