A few days passed and Amber still couldn’t believe everything that had happened to her.  She was a shifter, she believed them now though she hadn’t tried to shift yet. It also helped that Emma shifted quiet a few times into different animals to show her what kinds of animal she could shift into. One of the awesome advantages to being a shifter was that all of her senses had improved drastically. Amber could smell the trays of food they brought to her way before they got to the door. Amber could pick up the smallest hint of mint or the rich sent of chocolate. It was fun learning to distinguish between all the different household smells, cooking, cleaning products, the different smells of the different people who lived in the house. The downside was that smelly socks were a whole lot more smelly. Emma had fun helping her learn the different smells. Learning the food smells was easy, learning the different sents of the different people was harder and learning the cleaning product smells was hard as well. Kiara bought non sented cleaning products to try and save everyones nose from the strength of some of the lemon or citrus cleaning product. The non sented cleaning products still had a chemical smell to them but it was defintly easier on the nose then the sented stuff.

Amber’s hearing was much improved as well. This was abit annoying and gave her a headach for the first day and a half. The others were very careful to not talk to loudly or even at all in the hall where her room was located because she could hear people talking in the hall clearly. Her and Emma kept the tv turned down really low for the first couple days as well. It took getting used to but she was adjusting slowly. Her sight had improved beyond the standard 20/20. Colors seemed brighter, lines sharper, her night vision was perfect, it was all amazing. She had also made a new friend. Emma had spent a lot of the past few days in her room as they played different video games. They were pretty evenly matched which was why she was struggeling to get ahead of her in mario kart. Amber picked up a red shell, perfect!

“hey that was no fair I was really close to the finish line!” Amber laughed as she passed Emma and took first place.

“Yeah! I win!” Emma laughed and shoved Amber.

“You know eventually you’re going to have to meet the rest of the pack.” Emma said glancing over at Amber.

“Ya, I know. So who are the Alphas of this pack?” Amber asked.

“Well, Kiara and Torin are the alpha pair. Torin is nice, hes very diplomatic and good at keeping the peace around here. You can tell how much he cares for everyone, he asks about you every day.”

“Really?”

“Of course, you should have seen the fight him and Kane had after Kane attacked you. Then after he lifted you up careful as could be and brought you back here. Kane had claimed that you belonged to him since he changed you but Torin basically said no way and sent him off.”

“Wow, so what’s Kiara like. She seemed very nice and motherly to me.” Emma laughed.

“That’s basically it. Kiara is like the packs mother, she takes care of all of us and tries to keep us outa trouble and yet I still manage to find plenty of it. You’re an alpha too by the way. Not sure if you knew that or not.”

“huh?”

“Yup, your sent is that of an alpha’s but don’t let that go to your head in this pack you’re still considered one of us followers.”

“That’s fine by me” Amber said smiling. “so who else is in the pack?”

“Well the beta pair are Leith and Ava. They are sickenly cutesie just to warn you. Ava comes up with stupid names for Leith and they do just about everything together. But they are cool when they aren’t being all cutesie. Leith helps out Torin marking territory and keeping everyone in line and all that stuff. Ava is nice, but she’s one of thoes people whoes constantly happy and bouncy. Then theres the other women in the pack and they are Brianna, Jennifer and Tara. Jennifer and Tara are cool they are very easy going they don’t get angry about much and are cool to hang with except for the age difference.
