Kayden's POV
"What was that all about?"
"I could ask you the same."
Austin had a smug look on his face with his arms crossed and on my table as his chair was turned around to face me. I placed my legs on the chair beside me, while leaning back on my chair, looking at our work with disinterest in my eyes. We were currently in sociology class after our break was over. We were suppose to discuss our major project but Austin could not stop asking about what I said during our break.
Austin Levi has been my best friend ever since I was in elementary school and for as long as I could actually remember. We have been through thick and thin together, ups and downs too, inseparable despite the many struggles we faced. He is one of the few people that I can actually open up to and talk about my deepest darkest secrets and fears. He is also what you may call a 'fuckboy', not something that I encourage, however, I know one day he'll stop his player ways.
"Who is this beautiful queen which you were referring to?"
"None of your business Prince Charming and you're never going to get close to her, understood?"
"Relax, I wouldn't dare offend the King."
He chuckled while he had both of his hands up as a form of surrendering. I shook my head and rolled my eyes at his gestures, resting my face in the palms of my hands with my eyes closed, thinking back to what happened during our break. I remember observing back and forth between Austin and the girl infront of him. None of the girls that Austin has ever been with ever made Austin smile, I wonder what that girl did to him, she must be the one for him.
"Just curious to who's so beautiful that the godly Kayden Ares would keep a secret from his so called best mate."
"While I'm curious to who actually made the number one player Austin Levi smile for once."
I then leaned forward with a smug on my face, his eyes widened hearing what I said. He backed away in shock, shaking his head, rolling his eyes at me in disbelief. I flashed a small smile, observing his body language. He dropped his arms to his side, which he usually only does when he's not confident. I looked at him, scrutinising his facial expressions. He then flashed a small smile, running one hair through his hair, letting out a laugh, as if giving up hiding his true feelings from me.
"That girl, she sure is a little firecracker."
"And that beautiful girl that you're curious about, her name's Chantelle Freya."
"Alright, class is dismissed."

Will I see her again tonight, I thought to myself, shaking my head vigorously afterwards, not wanting to get distracted. I was currently at the casino with my teacher, Leroy Pierre. He is one of the other few that I trust a lot, he took me in as a student and taught me how to gamble at a young tender age of eleven. He is best friends with my father. He has won countless of international gambling tournaments which resulted in him being known as the 'God of Gamblers'. And I, as his student, as the 'King of Gamblers'.
