Chantelle's POV

"I would've given all the stars in the night sky for that boy and I barely know his second name."

I mumbled out softly as I stared blankly into space, losing myself to my train of thoughts. The first time that Kayden talked to me suddenly surfaced and played in the big screens of my mind. A smile unknowingly flashed upon my face as I remembered every single detail about the exchange that I shared with him. At this moment, I felt myself being shaken, I snapped out of my train of thoughts to look around me. I noticed Acacia's hand shaking my arms as I felt a drop of my saliva landed on my arm.

"Your Prince Charming's looking over!"

I immediately straightened myself up and wiped my drool away, lifting my head up to look at where Kayden was seated at. His eyes were locked with mine as I watched his hard gaze, with no facial expressions whatsoever on his face. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, wondering what on earth could be on that mind of his, as I flashed him a smile. Internally being fascinated about every single part of him, hoping that one day I'd be lucky enough to know more about him. He winked back in my direction with a smirk on his face, he then exited the cafeteria with Austin, taking majority of the girls' hearts along with them.

"Okay, now spill everything that you know about the relationship between the two of those boys and what did you tell them just now when you walked over."

I awkwardly let out a few cough and signalled to Acacia that there were other people eavesdropping into our conversation. The other people being Arsen Elliott and his group of freshman boys which were surrounding our lunch table for no apparent reason. Arsen Elliott just transferred into our college today and is in most of the classes that Acacia and I shared, classes such as psychology and a few others.

After Acacia got my hint, both of us slowly stood up and left the cafeteria, heading towards our next class together. We chose to sit at the back of the classroom so that we wouldn't get caught talking by the teacher when class started and because we would usually help each other out with our classwork too, our pair work cooperation skills are the absolute best, if I'm being honest.

"So, now spill and after, we need to talk about that new kid, I'm getting weird vibes from him."

"Kayden and Austin are best friends and are like brothers in bond."

She nods her head listening intently, her perfectly arched brows were raised up in curiosity with an innocent look on her face. After I scoot closer to her side, wrapping my arms around her, flashing an "I'm innocent" smile at her. She looked down at me and raised a brow, as if wondering what I was doing. I thought to myself, do I tell her that I secretly hatched a plan with Kayden to get her and Austin together, reveal to her what I told Austin, or that I'm Kayden's number 1 fan. After much thought, I've decided to go with option 2.

"So what did you tell Austin?"

"Oh nothing much, just told him that there was my wonderful best friend is called Acacia Katherine."

"You did what?"

Her eyes widened as she squealed loudly in class, causing everybody to turn their heads to look back at us, including the teacher. I sank into my seat to avoid all of the unwanted attention and covered my face with my notebook. I could see feel Acacia's eyes burning holes on the side of my head as I smiled a little, knowing that her ego felt attacked. However, I'm not a bad friend, don't get me wrong. Lately, I have been listening to Acacia go on and on about Austin and how much of a jerk he actually is but all I see is the start of a beautiful love story.
