Chantelle's POV

"Chantelle! It's time for breakfast!"

"Coming mom."

I took one last glance towards the full body mirror in my room as I made some final adjustments to my appearance. I was wearing my white turtle neck sweater along with my ripped denim jeans while my platinum blonde ombre hair was tied into a fishtail braid. I flashed a smile and looked at the inspirational notes my mom placed at the top left corner of my mirror to remind me that I am beautiful.

I carried my macbook in my hands, slung my bag over my shoulder and wore my watch on my left wrist. I made my way out of my room, down the stairs and into the kitchen. Once I made it into the kitchen, I wrapped my arms around my mother's waist from behind. On the dinning table, there were two plates of pancakes with bacons and eggs, my absolute favorite, with a cup of hot cocoa for me and a cup of hot tea for mother.

"Good morning my Princess."

"Good morning my Queen.

So this is how my beautiful day usually starts, with my beautiful and incredible mom

I entered the gates of my college and casually made my way into the premises. I walked towards my locker as I checked my timetable to see the books I needed for the day. My mind slowly wandered back to yesterday's scene, when I first met the beautiful work of art, Kayden Ares, while he was drinking and smoking on the sidewalk. His words constantly replaying in my mind when I was slowly walking towards my locker.

'I'm the King of Gamblers... You know my name, so what's yours?'

;

"Hey, you there..."

I let out a laugh when I heard his husky voice call out again, this time in a voice filled with uncertainties. His voice stood out to me despite being in the crowded hallway minutes before class started. I thought his voice was coming from my mind as I pushed it to the back of my head simply ignoring it. I entered my locker code, zero zero zero zero, my locker opened. I heard a deep chuckle coming from behind me.

"Do I know you?"

I mumbled softly while I laughed along with him, thinking he was simply a classmate from my next class or a close friend of mine whose voice I have failed to recognise yet. I took my psychology and sociology books and shut my locker closed. I turned around to find out the person behind me was the one and only Kayden Ares, in the flesh. My lower jaw dropped slightly simultaneously as my eyes widened, I mumbled his name in realization.

"Kayden."

"So I'm guessing you do know me aye."

He let out a chuckle as he flashed me a smirk, leaning up to the lockers beside mine, his eyes locked with mine. He paused for a bit, breaking our eye contact to look down at his watch. I took this opportunity to take a closer look at his appearance and features up close in the daylight. He had his short blonde hair gelled up, his icy blue eyes glued onto his watch. He was wearing a grey shirt with black pants and a leather jacket on top. After he was done looking at his watch, he looked back up into my eyes, as the corners of his lips turned upwards to form a small smile.
