I glanced behind my shoulder, checking to see if she was still there. Sure enough she was. I could see her head bobbing up and down as she trailed a few yards behind me.
I was walking downtown, trying to make it back home, when I noticed the black hair and brown eyes that seemed to be following me everywhere I went. I wasn't sure if she was actually following me at first, but then I knew she was when she'd stop when I'd stop.
She had put black sunglasses on a little bit after I noticed her, and even through the glasses I could feel her eyes watching me. Watching every move I made.
My heart was pounding in my chest. I could feel my hands begin to tremble.
She doesn't know about me, does she? She couldn't possibly know. I only told one person, and he wouldn't betray me....right?
It was too busy of a day to turn invisible, so I had to think and act quickly. I noticed a small alley up ahead, and maybe, just maybe, I could duck into it unseen.
A few feet ahead of me a tall and lanky man stomped up the street. I quicker my stroll and ducked in front of him, hiding myself from the girl.
The alley came quickly and I ducked into it switching into my invisibility mode. I walked further down the alley and stopped where I was sure she couldn't even hear me.
The girl appeared and walked directly past the alley, lagging me going unnoticed once again.
I let out my breath and switched off my invisibility.
"That was a pretty good show kid." A voice spoke from behind me.
I let out a scream as I turned around to the now familiar black hair and brown eyes, her sunglasses nowhere in sight. She leaned against the wall of the building next to us, her arms crossed in front of her. I didn't say anything and narrowed my eyes at her.
"Sorry for the scare," She said with a chuckle as she pushed herself off the wall and took a step toward me. "The name's Cosette, and I believe we have a lot to talk about; don't you Jaymn?"
