Chapter 5

Knock knock.

Who's there?

Knock knock.

I opened my eyes and looked at my alarm clock. Did my alarm make that noise? I hadn't used that thing since forever. When I'm off, I usually sleep till 12 in the morning or something. Bad habits. The alarm showed the time of 09:15. God, that was way too early.

Knock, knock.

The sound became more and more intense. It came from the door. All of a sudden I realized someone was knocking in the door. Well hello, good morning. I'm dumb. I looked over to Chloe, hoping she was awake so she could open the door. Nope, she was still in a very deep sleep, considering her open mouth and position.

"ERICA, FOR FUCK'S SAKE OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!"

Erica? Who the fuck was Erica? I turned my blanket of my warm body. Ah that was cold. I walked up to the door. Shit, I was wearing my ugly, old pyamas that had flowers all over it. In all different colours. Not a thing an eigtheen year old would wear. My eyes scanned the room, what could I wear over this?! I saw my jumper that I wore yesterday evening. It was an ugly one too but hey, it would cover up my pyamas for the most bit. I quickly put it on and opened the door.

A guy with long, black hair and brown eyes was standing in front of me. He had fierce cheeckbones, and a really sharp jawline. His clothes were just black, making him look sort of emo. He wasn't really hot, but he definitely wasn't ugly either. "Hello", I said very calmly. His eyes widened when he saw me. "I, er, I'm sorry you know I was looking for my friend and I thought this was her room because it started with a two too so I thought I remembered the room correctly and then I knocked on the door and I got frustrated so I screamed and then you opened the door and then you weren't Erica!" He took a deep breath, "I'm very, very sorry!" I laughed, "It doesn't matter! I'm Mandy, what's your name?" "Oh my I forgot to introduce myself too, I'm sorry. My name's Josh, nice to meet you!"

"Mandy, who are you talking to?" Chloe had woken up in the mean time. No wonder, Josh had screamed very loudly. "I don't know really, but his name's Josh!" I said behind my shoulder. Josh laughed. "We should get to know each other, you seem really nice!" I smiled, had I just made a new friend on the first day?! Well technically this wasn't my first day but... Who am I even talking to? Yeah my mind's very strange...

"Yeah! We should totally hang out some day! Would you join us Chloe?" I asked. Josh looked at me strangely. "Oh yeah, Chloe is my roommate and she's really nice, Chloe can I introduce you to Josh?" I said. "Coming!" I heard Chloe stumbling trough our narrow room. She pushed me aside and shaked Josh's hand. "Hi, I'm Chloe."
