Chapter 4 - Broken Dreams

It was now the early afternoon the sun was shining brightly, the birds had started chirping that was the signal for one Yuki Hatake to get up...but there's one problem he's already awake.

Yuki's P.O.V
I hadn't sleep last night, I mean how could I. Today is the day that determines my life from here on out, I promised myself that I'll get stronger and become a better shinobi than Kakashi or father so I've been training with Kakashi for at least a couple of hours before he leaves for a mission, in the small amount of time we had to train Kakashi had taught me a few basic water jutsus. Of course I never told him about my idea to join the chunin exams I wanted to surprise him when I did enter the exams "wow someone's confidence huh".

The sun was shining and I could hear the birds chirping it was early afternoon. I'll be leaving to go talk with the hokage soon, I'll need to wait until Kakashi leaves first which should be really soon. As if on cue my brother's teammates had arrived to get him. They were Obito Uchiha and Rin Nohara, I'm good friends with them both they've know me for as long as I can remember and their both really nice Obito is a goofball and the polar opposite of my brother which causes them to argue a lot and then Rin who's the only sane one between them she usually has to keep Kakashi and Obito from fighting, honestly I feel kinda sorry for her.

Rin - Hey Kakashi

Obito - What are you doing ?

Yuki - Oh it's Obito and Rin

Rin - Hello Yuki

Obito - hey how's it going Yuki

Yuki - Are you two here for my brother ? " yeah you don't sound like you want to get rid of him at all good job Yuki"

Kakashi - Well it looks like we'll have to stop your training for today then Yuki

Obito - Training, why were you training ?

Kakashi - *sigh* idiot why do you think ?

Obito - Hey who are you calling an idiot

Rin - Ok you two that's enough we better hurry, minato-sensei is waiting for us at the entrance to the village after all.

Obito - Fine, but only because you asked Rin

Kakashi - Well have a good day Yuki , if I'm not back in time for dinner just eat without me ok

Yuki - Okay

Obito - See you later Yuki

Rin - Goodbye Yuki

They were now gone and now I can finally go see the hokage. I wonder if Rin and Obito know what happened with my father, mostly all of the adults know and I'm sure Kakashi will probably tell them, at any rate I better get going.

*Timeskip - 10 Minutes later*

I'd finally arrived, I don't know if I can do this I'm filled with the excitement of the possibility that he might actually say yes but also the fear that he'll say no.....

Well whatever the case I'm NOT taking no for a answer I'll not leave until he agrees to allow me to join the chunin exams with Itachi

I'd finally mustered up the courage to go in but just as I was about to I was stopped by a shinobi "of course it's guarded you idiot, you didn't think you could just waltz up on in to the hokage's office without a single shinobi noticing"

The guard had brown hair and blue eyes,he wore the standard Konaha Shinobi uniform and looked quite young. (A/N the pic just below here, just imagine he's wearing the standard Konaha uniform thanks )
