The Main Man - Seventeen DK

A multitude of scandals

The day's flash by. It feels like a couple of hours but in reality it's four days. Their concerts were both amazing, as good, if not better than any I've been to before and it was clear they were putting their all in them. I spent the second day with the whole of Seventeen and we did some basic tourist sightseeing stuff like going up Mount Fuji. On the third day I did I bit of shopping whist they were at their radio interview and then went with them to their concert and then the fourth day I went shopping with DK and spent the day together not really doing much, just wondering around Tokyo. We both bought some tartan long sleeve tops, like couple shirts but not, and then had an evening meal with Seventeen in the hotel. We all spent the evening with them in Hoshi, Seungkwan and what is technically DK's room playing video games and chatting, catching up on things we missed. DK spent each night with me in my room, sleeping like we normally did. I found that my bed had seemed empty without him beside me most nights, meaning I hadn't been sleeping as much.

Now however, that is all behind us and we're saying goodbye once again, me heading back to Seoul, the others to China. This time, it's a lot more dramatic and I let the tears roll. They're only three weeks into the first half of the tour, meaning they have another six before their break and I'll be back at school next week meaning I won't be able to see them for a while.

"God guys, this is worse than before, you all look so miserable and yet you're having the experience of a lifetime" I say, trying to stay cheerful through the drops running down my cheeks.
"You're always trying to be so cheerful Min-Ji" Jeonghan laughs.
"Come on guys, group hug." Woozi says, very uncharacteristically causing everyone to stare at him weirdly. "Do you want me to get my guitar?!?!" he says crossly.
"Hehe, sorry Woozi" I say, hugging him (it's kinda awkward cause I'm taller than him.) soon followed by everyone else.
We break apart and form a circle.
"Guys, I want you to promise me something" I say. "Whatever happens, try your best. It's tough but you're tougher. You were amazing these past couple of shows and you bet I'll be cheering you on through as many fancams as I can find." I joke.

"Don't worry, we will"  S.Coups says.

"And now, I believe that DK has something to talk to you about" Joshua says knowingly. I glance around at the other members and see they also have some kind of idea as to what this is about before I look to DK and see him seeming nervous. He takes my hand and leads me over to the other side of the airport lounge, behind a load of plants so that no fans can see us as the boys also split up, making it less obvious.

"Min-Ji, you know how much I love you right?" he asks, looking nervous so I nod. "and though we've only known each other for eight months I just want you to know that those have been the best eight months of my life so far." He continues nervously.

"Woah, stop there. You're not going to propose are you because whilst that's lovely and everything, we're only nineteen and I don't think either of us is ready for that yet an-" he cuts me off, pressing his lips to mine.

"No silly, you always have to assume the big things like that." He says, smiling at me.

"Thank god for that, no offence." I say, blushing.

"Don't worry about it. No, all I wanted to do was give you this as a promise of what's to come" he says, pulling a necklace out of his pocket. On the chain is a ring and that's when I notice he's not wearing his Seventeen group ring, the thing that identifies them as members of the group, something to hold onto forever. Instead, that ring is on this necklace.

"DK, I couldn't possibly." I say gushing, knowing how much this ring means to him. He never takes it off.

"But you can and you will." He says, kissing my forehead and placing it around my neck. "It's so that you've got something to remind you of me. My name is engraved inside of it" he says as I fiddle with it aimlessly.
