*Minnie's point of view*
The next few weeks pass in a blur and I'm busier than ever. After spending the night at the hotel with the boys, we went our separate ways despite their insistence that I have tickets for their concert - I gave them to some old friends of mine who were very pleased to have them. They left a few days after that night though Joshua stayed a couple of extra days since it was his hometown and Pledis are allowing a small break since promotions have finished for a while.
He stayed with his parents and also came round to my house a couple of times with us hanging out just like the old days. We even went out for a meal, us and our parents, to celebrate his success. Everyone was pleased to see him since he's such a lovable figure and even more we're sad to see him go. I dropped him at the airport though couldn't properly say goodbye due to the fans surrounding the airport - probably not a good idea to be spotted with him.
It's been three weeks since then and I've been just as busy helping my parents and generally running around like a headless chicken. They've been flying in and out of the country a couple of times due to deals elsewhere world wide - we are a multi-national, multi-million dollar company after all with interests through out the world. Their destinations include London, Paris, Tokyo, New York plus numerous ones in the upcoming future.
Therefore, it should not shock me the news I receive as I'm called in to meet them at their offices on a typical Monday morning. It should not surprise me in the slightest. Yet it does.
"Ah, hello sweetie, come in" my mother says, seeing it's me that knocked in the small meeting room door. I gently push it open, protecting the coffee in my hand before sitting down in one of the chairs opposite them.
"Good morning, what can I do for you two today?" I ask, smiling at them.
"Um, we have something very important to discuss with you" my dad begins, exchanging a worried glance with my mum.
"You know how our business has been expanding globally for sometime now, particularly over the last ten years, well, we've had some new opportunities."
"Ok..." I say uncertainly.
"We're incredibly busy these days and after the last three months or so you've proved yourself capable of doing this" my Moyer reassures.
"It depends" I say, shifting uncomfortably in my seat. "What is it?"
"You see, we simply don't have the time these days to constantly traipse back and forth between countries all the time, especially not half way across the world" my mother elaborates.
"So what we're really saying is that we'd like to become head of our Asia operations"
"That doesn't sound to bad" I smile.
"Based in Seoul" my mother tells me.
"Ok"
"It's been quite a long time and it's not like you'd have to see him. You'd be running an office in Seoul that is in control of the others based in Asia such as Tokyo and Beijing. All important decisions would be run through you and then if you had any concerns you just need to talk to us but we trust you to make the right decisions"
"It wouldn't have to be that long, no more than six months whilst the whole system gets up and running"
"After that we can always easily replace you but it's just so we're reassured for the time being"
"And you can speak the language"
"Mum, dad, stop." I exclaim. "Just don't ok. I'll do it since it's a benefit for all of us, plus I kinda miss Aria so I'll go back. When do I leave?" I ask, my voice slightly irritated don't that they thought I'd be immature enough to refuse simply because of him. I just don't want then going on about the main problem any longer, dancing around the subject.
"Friday" my dad says and there I was expecting at least another ten days. Instead, I have three to pack and get everything ready. But anyway, that is how after nearly four months away, I ended up going back to Korea. Fun times.
______I unlock the door to my apartment, removing the mask from my face and happy to finally breathe once again. From the sounds coming from inside, I assumed Aria, much to my disappointment, was having a party.
