Chapter 25 Fate or Coincidence?

Elmo.

I could not believe it. Again.... by chance I saw Julie. Could faith really be playing with us is it just a one big coincidence?? But then again, I don't care. Finally, I get to see Julie again.

Nandito kami ngayon sa isang restaurant. She is sitting quietly in front of me.

"Jules" I said as I reached for her hand, which is currently holding her drink. But as soon as our hands touched, she immediately took hers away.

She sighed loudly and looked at me in the eyes.

"Why are you here Elmo?"

"I should be the one asking you that Julie, why are you here?? Why couldn't I contact you??"

"I'm here with my husband and child Elmo, we're here for my husband's personal issues, which you don't need to know. And if we're comfortable here, we might stay here for good. Now tell me what you're doing here."

"I'm here for business Julie. I just saw you by chance."

After that, it became for quiet between us. When suddenly her phone rang.

"Hello?? Oh hon!......sorry nakalimutan ko. Hmmmm... I'll be there in maybe....half an hour?? Yup!! Okay Love you too."

After the call, she looked at me while standing up.

"I got to go Elmo. My husband's looking for me. Thanks for the treat." She said as she hurried to the door.

As she was about to go inside a taxi, I grabbed her arm.

"Jules.... When can I see you again?"

She looked at me with her........sad eyes??

"I..I don't know Moe. But please just let me be, I already have a family and you have a son waiting for you." Then she got in the taxi and it drove off.

As soon as I got in the taxi, my tears suddenly fell. Sorry Moe. 

Na-tauhan lang ako ng biglang lumiko ang sina-sakyan kong taxi, almost bumping into another car. And I hit my head on the window.

"You look beautiful"

"Shane baby!! halika na,the pancake is ready."

"Coming Mommy!!."

"I love you baby."

"Anak mo si siya?!?"

"Julie,I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness.I promise to be a good husband and a good father to Shane and I hope more.I will take care and will love you forever baby."

Sino ang mga yun?? Why can't I see their faces?? why was the guy saying I love you?? Why was the kid calling me mommy?? 

I was deeply in my thoughts when the driver talked to me.

"Miss! Okay ka lang??" 

"Opo kuya. Ano bang nangyari?" I said as I was picking up my bag that fell.

"May gagong muntik nang maka-bangga sa atin miss. Lasing ata.Mabuti na lang naka-iwas ako. Sure kang okay ka lang miss?? Parang namu-mutla ka eh."

"Oo, kuya. Kung wala ng problema, pwedeng tumoloy na tayo??"

"Sige miss. Ibibigay ko na lang ang number ko sa isa pang driver. Para kung may problema, tawagan nalang nila ako."

He went out to give his number to the other number that he almost hit, when he tried to avoid the the drunk driver.

Throughout the day, I could not take my mind off what happened earlier this morning.

Who are those people?? Bakit ko sila naa-alala?? And this all happened after meeting Elmo.

Is this fate or just a one big coincidence?? I don't karenow but.........Im sure as hell that all of these are connected.
