Chapter 21 Five years later.

Five years later....

Elmo's POV.

Yes, it's been five years since that day. The day that I lost my wife...my life.....Oo, hindi namin siya nakita. We spent a week to look for her but we could not find her. Now it's April 10, 2021 and my son and I are still suffering. Specially today, as today is the day we lost her. 

I am here in our room. Looking at her untouched things. Nandito pa din ang mga gamit niya sa kwarto namin. I didn't want to take them out as I know somewhere inside me, I am still hoping for her to return to me......to us.

I was looking at her picture on the bed-side table when my son came in.

"Dad.." He said as he walked towards me. He is now grown. He is now 10 and mas lalo niyang kamukha si Julie.

I looked at him and gave him the best smile I could give.

"Shane.....come here." Sinunod niya naman ako and sat next to me.

We sat there without saying anything. Then suddenly, I felt Shane hug me.

"Dad....I miss her. When is she coming back??" he said as I felt his tears on my shirt.

"Hindi ko alam Shane...I miss her too." I said as I hugged him back.

After almost half an hour, I wiped my tears and smiled at him.

"Come on.....you want to go out??"

He looked at me and smiled also.

"Really??.....can we go eat out? We haven't eaten outside in a while."

"Sure!!..go change and meet me at the car."

He got up and ran to his room. I also got ready. And after a few minutes, tapos na ako. Before going out, I looked at the empty room one last time and then closed the door.

Nandito kami ngayon sa Jollibee, namiss na daw niya kasi ang spaghetti nila at chicken. 

"Shane, go find a table for us. I'll order first."

"Yes Dad!" Tapos pumunta na siya sa second floor. Mas gusto niya kasi duon eh.

After kung mag-order.....pumunta na ako sa second floor at agad ko naman nakita si Shane na naka-upo sa isang table. I went to him but I bumped to a guy at natapon yung coke niya.

"Ano ba?!" sabi ng lalake.

"Sorry...."

"Anong sorry?!?! tignan mo oh!! basa na ang t-shirt ko!! Sh*t lang!! May pupuntahan pa ako!!"

"I said I'm sorry... ano ba ang gusto mo??" I said as calmly as I could.

"Bayaran mo itong t-shirt ko!!"

"wow!! bakit?? nasira ba?? You can just wash it tapos wala na yung coke. But fine! since mukha ka namang pera, here!!" I said as I took my wallet from my pocket and got one thousand. Ito oh.... I hope okay na yan para pambayad sa t-shirt mong mukha namang ninakaw mo lang sa tatay mo."

After that.... I just went pass him and went to my son.

"What happened po??"

"Wala....just some misunderstanding. :) "

"Okay!!" Then he took out his phone and started playing a game.

We waited for about 10 to 15 minutes para sa food namin. ANd when it came, excited na kumain si Shane haha..... ang cute ng anak ko. Though he is a guy..... namana niya ang ka-sweetan ni Julie.

After naming kumain, we decided to just go to the arcade. Tapos umuwi na kami.

While driving home na-stuck kami sa traffic.

"Haysss.....this is taking so long!"

"It's fine Shane... if your tired, just go to sleep. I'll wake you up when we get home okay??"

"Okay...."

He took the blanket that's always in my car and slept.

After 20 minutes, wala na kami sa traffic.

And all the clubs you get in using my name

"Hello??"

Before the person could answer, my car hit a rock and I dropped my phone. 

"F*ck!"

I tried to reach for my phone and when I got it, I immediately stop kasi may babaeng tumawid. I almost hit her. She is now on the ground.

I immediately got out of the car to help her.

"Miss!! okay ka lang?? Bakit ka kasi tumawid?? alam mo namang maraming sasakyan dito."

"Sorry po!!" she said as he fixed her faced that was covering her face and looked at me.

And there.......my whole world stopped.

"Ju......Julie??" I said as I reached my hand towards her face.

"Po??" she said as she looked at me with a confused face.

"Kilala mo ba ako??" 

Duon ako natigilan.......did she just ask me if I knew her??
