Chapter 35

9 months, and Kurapika was going to go through pain once again. He was laying in the bed on May 5th at the hospital, shirtless once again. He was even more scared than on July 7th with Luca.

His eyes were scarlet before the surgery even started. Kenji was in the waiting room watching Luca. The couple agreed that Luca shouldn't be in the room as this happened. It was too painful to bear eyes upon.

The blonde tightened his grip on Leorio's hands, squeezing them nervously and in fear. He starred at the knife that was about to cut his flesh open...

Chidzu, the female doctor walked over to the bed, not wanting to see Kurapika, her patient in pain. But she had to do this. For Leo. "I'm going to start now..."

And it happened. It hurt much more. The sounds of Kurapika esclated, screams echoing through the room and throughout the hospital. She cut open the stitches and scars that were already sealed up and healing.

Leorio cried instantly, hearing the sounds of loud painful screams from his husband hurt him inside. "Kurapika!" He said as he felt the squeezing the blonde was doing to his hands.

Kurapika couldn't bear with the pain anymore. The knife just entered cut around his stomach harder and harder, Chidzu being careful to not stab Leo. Cold tears rushed down his hot sweaty face, letting out another scream.

"Kurapika...just a little longer...hang in there!" Leorio shouted in a encouraging way. "Chidzu, hurry up! You're hurting him too much!"

Luca heard the screams of his father. He knew it was coming from him. Kenji held him close so he wouldn't jump out of his grasp. "Luca, I can't allow you to go in the room. Your parents don't want you to..."

"Papi Pika pain!" Luca shouted to Kenji, tears rushing down his face. "Papi!" He yelled.

Kenji rubbed the back of his head, trying to comfort him. He wasn't the parent. It was so much harder to make him happy. He was just the 'uncle'.

The screams of pain once again esclated, but were then silent for a moment. After one last scream from Kurapika, all that was heard was cries.

From Kurapika.
From Leorio.
And now the new addition
Leo.

After cleaning the baby with a wet cloth, Chidzu handed the sick baby to Leorio.

Leorio held the crying newborn, his tears dripping onto his new son's face. "Leo..." he whispered his name.

Luca couldn't take it. He somehow escaped the grasp, rushing inside the room his fathers were in. His eyes widened from the blood and cut up stomach his blonde father had. It made him want to throw up. "Papi Pika...!"

After breathing heavily for several minutes, the sore blonde looked over at his oldest child. "Luca...don't look!"

Swallowing the puke that came up his throat, Luca ran for the first time, over to the bed and jumping onto it. "Papi Pika!" He repeated, hugging the blonde that was experiencing so much pain .

"Luca...please don't look..." Kurapika repeated, but hugged his son while he cried.

"Kurapika, just.." Leorio handed the newborn Leo to him. "Hold them and cherish them...let them comfort you..."

Kurapika cried as he took Leo into his arms. "Welcome...Leo..." he whispered, resting his head on the pillow. The blonde hugged both of his children holding them close. "My boys..." he continued to cry. "My sweet, sweet boys...I love you so much..."

Kurapika looked over at Leorio, grabbing his hand and interlocking his fingers with him. "Leorio...I love you...thank you..." he closed his eyes.

"Kurapika!" Leorio shouted out, thinking that his husband died.
