Chapter 38

The next day, Leorio woke up around 9:30 a.m., sitting up and stretching his arms up. He was trying to figure out if he was dreaming or not once he saw the cash of money. Rubbing his eyes and putting his glasses on, Leorio grabbed the money, wondering where it came from.

The teenagers were already up,pulling away from the kiss they were sharing once Leorio woke up. "Ging came by last night. It's from him." Gon told him.

"Ging? He gave me this even when I punched him years ago?" Leorio said with a chuckle, then scratching the back of his head. "But why?"

"He came over to give me money for my birthday. He was probably told by Mito that you were here and it was also Luca's birthday. Kurapika is down stars as well, so there is another chance that Kurapika just told him and gave money. But he would've probably gave the money to Kurapika then, so I don't actuslly know. Just predictions."

"I see. So sometimes he is kind at heart." Leorio chuckled again, putting the cash in his pocket.

"Leorio, since you have Leo now, we should take a new picture!" Gon said, standing up and picking up his camera. 

"Good call, Gon." Leorio said, placing his hand onto Luca's stomach gently. "Come on sunshine, wake up."

Luca opened his eyes, looking up at his father and giggling. "Hi papa!" He said, sitting up and rubbing his eyes.

"We are going to take another picture." Leorio said, picking him up and then putting him on his shoulders.

"Fun.. ny?" Luca spaced out his words like usual as he tried to pronounce them correctly.

"Yes,we will take a funny one too." Leorio smiled.

The four of them walked down the stairs, seeing Kurapika that had his head back and fell asleep about an hour ago on the couch. Leo was wide awake though.

"Did you make Papi Pika tired?" Leorio asked with a chuckle, sitting down on the couch and looking at Kurapika. "Darling..." he whispered, caressing his husband's cheek.

Kurapika smiled, opening his eyes and looking at Leorio. "Oh...it's morning already?" The blonde asked.

"Yes. Are you too tired now? We were going to take another picture." Leorio told him.

"It's fine." Kurapika said, handing Leo to him. "I need to go wake up first." He said, walking to the bathroom.

Luca sat on the couch, kicking his feet back and forth. Leorio was sitting next to him, looking down at Leo as he cradled him.

Kurapika turned the sink on and splashed water onto his face. He walked back down stairs and stretched his arms out. "Alright, I'm ready."

"Mito-San,  we need you to take another picture!" Gon said, walking outside with Killua, Leorio, Kurapika, and Luca. Mito followed after them, a smile on her face as Gon threw the camera over to her.

The positions were much alike from the last picture, although Gon and Killua were actually seperated; Killua next to Kurapika and Gon next to Leorio, reasons being 'because they had the same love situation'. Killua felt what Kurapika felt so he stood next to Kurapika, and same for Gon.

"Say cheese!" Mito said, everyone smiling and the picture was printing and came out of the camera. Then they did a funny one, using the same faces then before. Leo was in Luca's place this time, giggling at the funny faces and Luca made a funny face, opening his mouth with his small fingers and sticking his tongue out.

The second picture was taken, both of them handed to Leorio. The doctor smiled and looked at the pictures, then over at Gon and Killua. "I think it's time we say goodbye again."

"Do you have to?" Gon asked, tilting his head.

Kurapika nodded. "Yes. We can always meet again soon. The auction is always September." The blonde smiled.

"Okay, then the next time we meet...will be..."

"The auction!" The four of them simultaneously like they did a few years ago. Leorio went inside to grab the suitcase, then waved at them.

The family of four left for the dock, Gon waving until he couldn't see them anymore. "Goodbye! See you later!" He yelled out before walking back inside the house with Killua behind him.

The family boarded the dock around 11 a.m., sitting on the boat before reaching Yorknew City a few hours later. They got off the boat, walking to the house where Kurapika laid on the couch and fell asleep.

Leorio smiled at his husband, kissing his forehead. He went to their bedroom and unpacked everything, putting Luca and Leo in the bassinet where they fell asleep.

The love story continues, but is almost over...
