Arianna's P.O.V
My mind snapped back to present as I felt a hand on my shoulder and I flinched back in fear.
"Hey..Its me" I saw Dominick looking at me with a gentle face ,he moved his hand from my shoulder and reminded me that I was with him in his car
"Uhh..We are at your place" I sighed with relief and turned my head to thank him
"Thank you" I tried to smile but failed..The earlier events flashed in my mind resulting in appearance of goose bumps on my arms.I shivered thinking ..what if he wasn't there for me???What if??? But what was he doing there???Did he followed me out or something.
I was tired and nothing was making sense but I still decided to ask him everything because I knew he will never give me the answers tomorrow if one of his mood swings appears again
"What were you doing there but"????
He avoided my gaze and looked at the silent street, his hands were gripping the steering wheel and he raked a hand through his hairs
"I..i was out to meet a ..a.. friend" He hesitated and I instantly caught his lie but decided not to push it .I knew he is never going to accept that he was following me
"Alright" I smiled this time at him and he somehow returned it
"Are you sure you are ok"??? He looked at me with sincerity lingering in his eyes and I nodded
"Yeah...Thank you for everything "
"No problem"
I opened the door and went out of the car ,I turned around walking to my house and looked at him ,he was looking straight at me, his gaze didn't fall from me as I looked at him. He didn't say anything just stared at me silently .I turned around and took out the key from my bag and opened the door with it. I heard the sound of his car starting and waved at him ,he waved back with a serious face and I closed the door listening to the sound of his car fading away into darkness.
Mom was in the kitchen
"Hey honey..you are back" she smiled at me and I walked to her and hugged her tightly
"Woww.." she got surprised but wrapped her arms around me instantly in a warm hug
"Everything alright baby" She rubbed my back and blinked back the tears and cleared my throats
"Yeah mom.."
"Its late sweetheart, did you kids completed your project"???
"Yeah we did but its not completed yet..we have the whole semester to do it..we just started it maa" I unwrapped my arms and went to sit on the sofa
"Oh..ok..I am making dinner..you are hungry right??"
"No..I just ate at my friends place" I lied ,I was in no mood to eat infact I just wanted to go and snuggle in my warm bed and not think about anything. I was too tired with emotional stress
