Arianna's P.O.V
I was rooted to the spot when I heard his voice. It was like someone is trying to put a hot iron rod in your stomach and you can't do anything about it. Everyone was pretty much in the same situation like me.
"Its Dominick" Dominick cleared his throat after saying that.
"Well hello Dominick. Its been a long time " Who the hell is this guy. Tension got thick in the air as I gulped in fear
"It sure is" Charles gave Dominick a silent stare ,he had a worried expression on his face. I saw Benjamin pacing in the room silently .The only guy that was eating snacks was Brandon..like without a care in the world
Claire was biting her nails and I took her hand out of her mouth.
Who is this guy to make them this much scared
"To what do I owe the pleasure Dominick" He asked from the other side and Dominick's face turned hard in a mere second
"We have a problem"
"Yes that much I realized when I saw your number. How may I be of service to you" The voice was calm and collected but it still gave me goosebumps. There was something that was screaming that this guy was awfully dangerous
Dominick started explaining the situation to him and for a while he listened quietly ,as soon as Dominick finished explaining I heard him again from the other side. He sounded like he was enjoying it
"Ahan..so Micheal is being .... himself I see. Consider it done" ..We heard and I saw Brandon looking curiously at Dominick. Claire sighed and I pulled my hair out in frustration as we all knew that the worst part was about to come. His exchange for his help
"We all know how you work Donovon .Just name your price"
An un amused chuckle came from the other side and I started hyperventilating wth fear. I was not ready to lose Dominick. I just got him.
"That's what I like about you Dominick .Intelligence..and the straight forward attitude"
"Your price Donovon"... I knew Dominick was getting impatient .I looked helplessly at him and his stare matched mine
"After exact one hour you'll see a black SUV outside of your building .Come and we'll discuss the terms. See you soon buddy" And just like that he disconnected the call. It was like a spell just broke. It felt like a trance was letting us all go and I ran towards Dominick straight in his arms
His arms welcomed me and I took deep breaths releasing the tension from my system
"It'll all be ok. I promise" I heard him and his words burned my eyes bringing tears in them
"How does he know where you live Dominick"?? Charles was looking confused and Brandon rolled his eyes
"That's Donovon you are talking about" Benjamin glanced at Charles for a second
"God. We just got ourselves in a bigger mess than it was before" Claire shook her head in frustration
"We can't back out now. We practically walked into the lion's den with our own will. He'll kill us if we back out now " Benjamin said in a grave voice
"I'll deal with it. No one is getting hurt and I am not backing out" Dominick replied deadpanned this time
"Its all my fault" The words came out of my mouth automatically and I heard five voices in a chorus again
