The window let's the sunlight seep through my slim, white curtains and I narrow my eyebrows at the rays against my closed eyelids. I press my alarm clock to see if it's still working because there is no way in Hell that I woke up before it rang. Turns out it's only seven, which means my curtains want me to have an early start. I huff and take the covers off of my sweltering body. I slide out of bed slowly, making sure I don't black out from getting up too fast. I pull the curtains off of it's hinges and toss them on the floor. I don't mind if they rip, they came with the apartment.

I walk to the living room where I find the book I dropped on the floor when I fell asleep on the couch. I pick it up by its spine and put it on my coffee table. But that becomes too tempting and I sit down to watch television.

"Now playing, Steven Universe! Only on Cartoon Network," I grin widely. Steven Universe usually meant that bacon would be made in the kitchen as well as egg sandwiches. Of course I was the only one who ate the bacon, but it was sweet for him to survive the intoxicating smell, especially when he loved his sleep. I turn to remind him that I want my eggs over easy in my sandwich, since he always seems to forget, but when I look- he's not there.
