"Marissa," Zayn told his mom. She looks at him with sorrowful eyes and he looks down. "Am I a terrible person?"

"Nonsense. I didn't raise a terrible person," She pulls him into her because she could see that he needed it. "I raised a person who makes mistakes,"

"But I don't want to make mistakes with her. She's perfect. And I don't want to love Penny. I don't think I do," He groans and runs a hand down his face.

"But Zayn," His mother took his face into her hands, so he could take in every word. "You don't know how Penny is feeling. She could be over you and this would all be nothing. Your feelings for her could be terminated for the person she is now. Poof, gone," She looks into his dark brown eyes and he takes her hands into his.

"But what if I don't want them to be gone either?"
