After meeting Yato downstairs, the two where now walking through the woods as leaves crackled under their feet. Hiyori's hands tugged at her sleeves, she was nervous being alone with Yato, she wondered what this feeling was in her heart that she wanted to know more and more about, but there was still a lot to come before finding out what Hiyori really desired.
Yato moved a curtain of vines out of the way, revealing a hidden valley with a sparkle of the rising sun coming out from the tall swamp trees, and right standing in front of them there was a tall, beautiful willow tree, its pink flowers blew in the cool summer breeze.
"Woah.." Hiyori was stunned by the beautiful area, her hair blew with the breeze as she scanned the valley, closing her eyes and taking in the sweet smell.
"Isn't it beautiful?" Yato's voice was soft and calm as his ocean eyes gazed up at the flowers.
Hiyori was silent for a moment, she then opened her eyes, rubbing her thumb against her cheek, a smile spread across her face.
"Yes, yes it is Yato.."
Yato saw that Hiyori was smiling and his cheeks turned a bit scarlet to see her happy, Yato still stared at her, admiring her, he just couldn't look away.
"Yato?" Hiyori questioned when she noticed him looking at her and he snapped out of his trance and laughed nervously.
"Sorry hiyori.. I just couldn't keep my eyes off you.."
She felt a warm feeling come from her chest when he said those words, she also felt it from her cheeks and she glared at the ground quickly, "Why is that?"
Yato glanced back up at Hiyori, they both could hear the chimes that hung from the tree, blowing in the wind from how silent it was between them.
"Hiyori I.." He didn't know what to say, he quickly grasped her hand, squeezing it lovingly. "I just.. I.."
"Let go of me!.." She felt a bit uncomfortable, but also loved the feeling of his soft, warm hands. Hiyori took a long gaze into his eyes and she felt the feeling in her heart from earlier.
It was, love.
"Hiyori.. I love you!" Yato's hands squeezed hers gently as then and there, Hiyori's whole world had changed.
