Hiyori had always had a smile on her face, she was always the nicest friend in the group and she always wanted to help. But after a few weeks that smile faded tragically when she realized her parents couldn't take another look at each other. Hiyori's mother ran off, leaving her behind in her fathers care, though he was outraged, he blamed Hiyori for everything. Hiyori and her father moved into a small home, abandoning their mothers home. Most of the time her father had been at work, paying the bills, he was never home, and never happy. And here she was now, unhappy and lonely.
Hiyori's violet eyes trailed down towards her gym bag that was laying down at the bottom of her locker, looking worn out. She took a deep breath and reached down unzipping the small bag and taking out her school uniform out and she undressed, putting on her school uniform. That walk home was rainy, and of course she didn't have an umbrella because of her bad luck, she thought. Once at the porch of the small home, she removed the house keys from her pocket and entered, setting her bags on the table when she walked in. "Today was a long day.." She mumbled to herself, moving some brown locks of hair from her face. Hiyori slowly went into her room, as always, she knew her father had been at work, thats all he ever did anymore. She laid back and stared up at the fan moving back and forth on her ceiling, the breeze brushed against her cheeks. Suddenly the front door slammed loudly from downstairs and Hiyori jumped up. "Dad?!" Hiyori exclaimed and hurried out of her room to see her father walking back and forth, he looked angry he was also soaked from the rain.
"Dad..!" Hiyori said, as she quickly speed walked to him. "Whats wrong?" She had worry in her eyes and he looked at her with an aggressive stare. "I was fired from work because I kept thinking about your mother.." He said hitting a vase off the table, and it shattered against the wall. "D-Dad calm down please..!" Hiyori put her hand on his shoulder and he flinched and pushed her onto the floor. "This is all your fault! You ruined everything for me! Now your own mother wont come back to us!" Hiyori struggled up and looked at the bruise on her shoulder and specks of water filled her purple eyes. "I.." He looked at her and his angry expression faded, like he had changed instantly. "Hiyori.. I.. I'm sorry.." He said, but before he could finish she ran upstairs, slamming the door to her room. She cried softly and laid down on the soft covers of her small bed. "Maybe he's right.." She said and rolled over on her back. Her eyes slowly got sleepy, and she entered a calm sleep, hugging her gray pillow.
Hiyori's phone went off loudly, the ringer had been full volume and Hiyori awoke with a start. "Eeek!" She squealed and took a deep breath, her eyes glanced at her phone that was buzzing uncontrollably. "Alright, Alright.." She picked up her phone, answering the phone call she was getting. "Hello?" She said rubbing her eyes and then she went still. "Hey Hiyoriiiii~!" She heard the calm, joyful voice she recognized so much. Soon tears dripped from her cheeks, but this time it wasn't because of sadness, it was because of joy.
"Hello Yato."
