Your POV:
I slowly woke up, letting my eyes settle a bit before I fully opened them. As I started opening them, I saw a smiling Jake looking at me. His head on the pillow, he was laying on his stomach so was I. He raised up his hand an inch from where it laid, and smiled.
"Good morning beautiful."
"Morning." I smiled back.
As I sat up and ran my fingers through my hair, I turned to look at the time. 5:40.
"You need to get up, you need to be at work at 6:30, move it, hustle." I slapped his butt.
"Hey!" He chuckled grabbing me and planting a kiss on my lips.
"Get up, and get ready."
"Don't think I forgot about last night Mrs. Gyllenhaal." He stood up cracking his knuckles then his neck.
"Oh trust me Mr. Gyllenhaal, I did not."
I watched as he went into the bathroom and jumped in the shower. I quickly hurried into the bathroom, and jumped in the shower with him.
"Lonely?" He asked.
"No I smell like last nights sin." I laughed.
He chuckled and washed himself off, I started washing then doing the whole routine with my hair. After we finish, we got out and I put my robe on. I tossed him his towels. He wrapped the first one around his waist, and used the second one to dry his hair, then placed it on the wrack. We brushed our teeth, and when we finished, I wrapped a towel around my hair and walked back into the room.
"You know I like seeing you without that towel. It's way better." I smirked.
"I like seeing you walk around this house bold and bare woman. You know how I can get." He smiled.
I rolled my eyes, and just continued to get dressed like he did.
"If Chief asks, I'll say I was taking care of you all last night, and just watching after you, if I wants to know if you were really sick last night." He tugs his shirt over his head, fixing it as he finally puts it on.
"It's fine, I'm about to go in right now. I want to finish that paper work on the rape victims."
He nods, "Alright."
We finish getting dressed, and head down stairs. I turned the coffee machine on, and look at the time. 6:26. I turned it off and grabbed my jacket, and keys.
"Wait I want coffee."
"I'll get us some on the way yeah? You just head to work, and I'll meet you there." I grabbed his jacket for him and tossed it to him.
It was starting to sprinkle as we got outside. We shut the door and locked it. He got in his car, and I go in mine. The funny thing is he had this normal sized dark navy green car, and I have this large black truck. He honestly hates my truck, unless we use it for trips.
We took off, but I headed towards the local coffee place up the street. I went through the drive through, and order our usuals. As I got up to the window, I waited for the lady to finish making our coffee. I looked out the front window to see Kagen in another vehicle watching me. Kagen Hartwey was an old friend of Jake and I, that we met in high school. He had a crush on me, during our Junior year one time, but I never really felt that way towards him. So I basically told him to kick rocks. But we still remained friends.
