Chapter 11

Elijah's P.O.V

Regain her memories? Is that even possible? It may be, but not in this way.

"Faith, if that is true, do you remember any of those events, like you were experiencing it?" Keith asks.

She seems to be into deep thought about it. Maybe it is just a hallucination, there is no way... "I...don't know...maybe. My head hurts and I can still hear their screaming, I'm not sure yet."

"Alright, so now what do we do? Should we tell Dr. Howard about this?" Nate asks.

"No." Nirvana says bluntly.

"We're not sure yet, and we don't want anyone else to know about this, not yet anyways. I say we keep this to ourselves until we have something figured out, but till then we keep our mouths shut." she adds.

She does have a point, we can't instantly expect things. "You know what, let's just ignore this happened... for now. Let's not forget that we are on a mission...I think. Hey that reminds me, when you ladies were out 'exploring' we found this." I say taking the object out of my pocket.

"A necklace?" Faith asks.

"Huh, I guess that's what it is." I say looking at the purple gem in the middle of the gold chain.

"Alright, so what you found some stupid necklace, what's that going to help us with?" Nirvana says.

"We figured that it had fallen from someone during the attack. And that was the only thing we could find, so you may be right." Keith says, and looks down at the floor as if ashamed.

"I say that we stop thinking about for now, come on let's go continue walking and this time none of u splits up." I say.

We start walking, and everyone is silent. I look back to make sure someone isn't following us, I turn my head back infront of me, until I notice Nirvana standing in her place with her head in her hands. Without anyone noticing me, I walk towards her, and place my hand on her shoulder. "Hey are you okay?" I ask with concern. She flinches in surprise at my presence, and moves away from me. I drop my hand back to my side an wait for her response. "I'm fine." She states and fixes her hair. I eye her with suspicion and ask "Are you sure?" "It's just a mere headache, I'll be fine."

Something doesn't seem right, but I just let it go. "Hey why don't you lovebirds stop the chitchat and get going!" We hear Nate yell out. I roll my eyes "Why don't you just shut that fat mouth of yours!" I yell back. "Hey who you little brat calling fat huh?!"

I look back at Nirvana and she just rolls her eyes, but I can't help but notice a little smile creeping out her lips.

Nate's P.O.V

After an hour of walking we finally get to the place where we spent the night. I stretch out and wipe the bead of sweat forming on my forehead, and I get startled when I hear a gasp. "Our sleeping bags, our backpacks, everything is gone!" Faith yells out. I look at where our sleeping bags were supposed to be and find them gone. "Do you think someone took them"? I ask. "There's no way possible that a human must've taken it, We've been searching in this forest for hours." Keith replies.

"Or Maybe there's animals around here? You never know, wolf couldn't eaten our things." Elijah says. "That isn't possible either, if people had escaped to hide in these forests during the attack then I don't think that any animal has survived." Keith replies again.

"Well our things are gone, now what do we do? We still have to spend 3 days in this forest. How are we going to survive without any food or water?" Nirvana asks.

"We do it the original way, we'll just search for food and water." I suggest.

"You know that isn't a bad idea." Keith replies. "Alright, so Nate you say here and try to build a place for us to sleep in. Elijah you go with Faith and search for food, and I'll go with Nirvana to search for water. Got it?" We all nod our heads. "Hey how do you expect me to build a fort when there isn't anything for me to build with?" I ask with my eyes wide. "You're in nature, you'll figure it out." That bastard says and each pair walks in a different direction. "Great, yeah just tell me to build a fucking fort out of air, sure coming right up." I mutter and start searching for this to build with.

Keith's P.O.V

We've been walking in silence for the past half an hour and during that time, I've been replaying the events that occurred earlier today. If it's true that Faith regained a part of her memories, then it was a matter of time we would regain ours. Even if we do remember everything, would we be able to relive the way we used to? In our situation I don't think anything would be the same.

"Hey can I ask you something?" a voice snaps me out of my thoughts. I look up to meet the eyes of Nirvana. "Yes ofcourse, whats up?"

"Okay so about what happened with Faith earlier..."She pauses and her eyes shift towards the ground. She lets out a sigh and continues "Do you think I'm the reason that she had seen all these things?'

What does she mean?

"Well she tripped , as quick as I could, I held on to her arm to prevent her from falling down the cliff. The moment my hand met her, it was like a shock. Then I saw it...her past."

I think about it for a moment. If my theory is correct that means what she's saying could be true. But how? How is it possible just by one touch, you could remember things?

"I guess that could be true, considering that you witnessed what she saw am I correct?" She nods her head in reply.

"But our theory could be wrong too, maybe there is another reason as to why that happened, or it's just a mere coincidence." She doesn't reply and looks ahead of her again.

We continue walking the way we were before, until I spot a lake. "Hey I spot water.' I say but then interupted by a sudden pain in my foot. My vision blurs for a moment and I feel myself falling. An arm suddenly shoots infront of me and holds on to my arm. A shock runs through my body and my eyes widen to what I'm seeing, where am I? What's going on... No...I remember...

Finally I snap out of it, and catch my breath. I can't believe what I just saw..My heart it's beating so fast right now, and I see red everywhere. Rage, madness,grief and gore...I saw all of it. I let my eyes shift towards Nirvana, and by the look of her stance, it seems that she saw the exact same thing I did. She looks up to meet my gaze and I can't help but notice her teary eyes.

"Wha-t d-did I-I j-just see?" She asks my her voice barely a whisper.

My eyebrows scrunch up and I can feel my face getting hotter and my eyes begin to water. "I remember everything." I tell her. Once I say that last line, she widens her eyes and is about to say my name, but it was too late. I feel something hit the back of my head, and a sharp pain shooting throughout my entire skull, and before I could even react, my vision goes black.
