Elijah's P.O.V
We jut finished our training for the day, and the trainers haven't told us our scores yet.
I may of misjudged Nirvana for her strength, because everyone who watched her perform her tasks today would say that she is a boulder. She is way stronger then all of us, and that's coming from me.
Right now, we are all having dinner in the cafeteria, since it has been a long day, no one bothered to speak. "Hey Grumpy pants!"
I turn to look at Zelda with a raised eyebrow. "Did you just call me Grumpy pants?" She smiles sheepishly at me, and than answers. "Yeah I did, you've been grumpy the entire day, ever since that hulk chick beat you at the endurance test."
"No I wasn't!" I exclaim. She raises her hand and replies. "See, you're doing it right now!"
I grumble "Just shut up." I don't feel like arguing with her, it's been a long day, and I just want some peace and quiet.
"You shouldn't eye our comrades as competition, you know." She suddenly says.
"That's easy for you to say, since you're always sunshine and rainbows."
She looks at me and I swear I saw another emotion in her eyes, but just for a second. "I advise you to not make assumptions when you don't know anything about the story."
"Oh I'm sorry, one day you lost your stuffed bear. Really Brutal. " I say sarcastically.
Her face turns a deep shade of red. "Shut your mouth." She grumbles. I ignore her and continue, "Why are you even here anyways? It's not like you're going to do us any good during combats. I bet you'll cry over every scratch a person receives."
That must've poked a nerve. "Take that back you bastard! Shut your mouth, you don't know half the things I've been through so don't go around insulting me as if you know the shit I've been through!"
It wasn't her words that left me shocked...It was her eyes. They were red, not bloodshot red, no as in her entire eye turned a dark crimson color.
We must've made a quite an audience around us, because before I knew it, Zelda was held back by other misfits. She was yelling at them to let her go, but ofcourse they didn't listen. I feel like choking after what I see next. Something was surrounding the tip of her fingers, and that thing was...fire.
She finally gave up screaming at them, while I was still left implanted in my place, not daring to let out any sound. As she starts calming down, the flame at her finger tips start going off. Once she is finally stable, her friends suggest to take her to the garden for some fresh air. She just nods in reply and let them take her there.
Somebody finally snaps me out of trance by letting out a low whistle. I look up to see an older guy walking towards me, "Damn kid, you made a huge mistake by telling her that."
I rub my face in frustration and let out a sigh. "I know, I know I screwed up. I didn't know she would get that defensive over the topic, and besides, I regret all the shit I said. I was just angry at earlier things that occurred, I had to just let it all out on someone and she happened to be the person."
He looks at me in a disapprovingly way, "I don't care what your reason is, but you better go apologize to her. Just not right now, she'll probably burn you alive if she sees your face this moment." He says while grinning cheekily.
"She said I don't know half the things she'd been through. What actually happened?" I ask curiously.
He replies, "It's not my place to tell you, if you're really that curious, why don't you go ask her yourself after you apologize."
