Samurai's Red Eyes (Vampire Knight/ Prince of Tennis Fanfic)

Lunar Eclipse...

"ECHIZEN!!!" cried Yumiko.

It was a horrible thing to see him crucified and bleeding tremendously in the wall of the altar. His chest, waist, and legs have horrible cuts and holes making him very weak.

Frances went inside the altar and laughed, "I trapped him for all of you to feel fear towards me! This is my revenge against Miyaki! You destroyed my future!"

"How did I destroy your life? Free him! He's not the vampire you're angry with! It's me!" screamed Miyaki. "I never know I was a vampire all my life until Toma Kira saved me from dying as a human! Did he never tell you?"

"That's a lie!" shouted Frances.

"It's true, Frances! Free Echizen!" shouted Kaname but Frances didn't listen and began attacking them.

Yumiko took it as a chance to save her servant. She quickly went beside Echizen while Miyaki and Kaname battle against Frances. She quickly embraced him and freed him without Frances knowing. Echizen slowly fell into her shoulders while his hands and feet are bleeding.

"Echizen!" cried Yumiko. "Can you drink my blood?"

"That's a terrible question, Yumiko," he said. "How come Yuki-sama still saved me?"

"She wants you to survive... for me!" she cried while holding his bleeding forehead.

Frances quickly felt her presence at the altar and when she saw her hugging him, she tried to stop her but Echizen created another shield, taking half of his last strength.

He made his wounds worse. "Stop it, Echizen!!!" Yumiko screamed.

Kaname quickly ran beside her, held his Katana and attacked her but she quickly held hers and deflected the attack. "You shame purebloods!" he pushed her harder to the wall. "Revenge, isn't it? Revenge for something nonesense? You are a PUREBLOOD!!! You can find any human you can make as your servant if they die or changed back as a human!" his strikes were very sharp and invisible to her. Her long, blue hair was even cut mostly. It was his first time to ever cry.

"Why do you have to hurt an innocent boy!? Because of you, Kuran Yuki died! I swore to protect the life Yuki saved!"

"You know that it's forbidden to kill a pureblood!" she frighteningly said.

Kuran Kaname stared at her seriously. "I have destroyed that government years ago!" he shouted and pulled out her heart. She slowly turned to glass and vanished. Now, Echizen is struggling to survive by drinking Yumiko's blood.

The battle had just finished and when everyone looked at the full moon, they noticed a Lunar Phenomenon. The moon is painted with red. The dogs howled and bats flew at the sky.

The Seigaku Regulars, the old and new quickly went inside the church and found him sleeping at Yumiko's arms. Momo opened the lights by lighting the torches around the altar.

"We knew you'll do it!" Fuji told her.

"Even he became human again when Yuki-oneesan sacrificed her life for him, he still recognized me as his master. Does that mean that's how close he became to me?" she asked all of them.

"Echizen loves you," Tezuka told her. "More than as a servant. He accepted you because he fell in-love with you."

After a few hours, Kuran Kaname put him on his bed, back in Cross Academy. Kaname stared at his racket which Echizen left behind to hide with his grandmother and Yumiko when Toma Kira still lurks. "When you wake up, I know you'd like to play Tennis again..."

Echizen opened his eyes the next day inside his room. Red, thick curtains are protecting the sun's rays to enter the room.

Everything that happened to him seemed to be just a painful dream. Yumiko-san happily went inside his room and told him with a smile, "You've got visitors."

His parents went inside, smiling at him.

"I got to leave and give you privacy," Yumiko said.

Nanjiroh just kept standing while Rinko sat and held her right hand. Nanjiroh tried opening the dark room but Echizen complained that the sun's too bright. He closed it again, "You really are a vampire now like her grandmother."

"Okaasan, Oyaji. Forgive me for giving you too much trouble," he said.

"Iie... actually, you gave me enlightenment about our ancestors. I've got to admit, I want my grandmother to turn me into her servant but she refused me. She wanted me to stay as a human. Most of all, she promised me that she will protect and take care of you. You're immortals, after all."

Echizen stared at the ceiling, "Not so immortal. I experienced near deaths twice."

Nanjiroh laughed and told him, "You're finally back as what you really are, kid!" He smirked at him.

Echizen sat and saw that his dad is playing his old, red racket. "Ne, oyaji! Sore wa watashi no desu!"

"Wakatteru!" he spoke up. "Play with me this night, ok?"

"Yadda!" he spoke up.

"Nande??? Are you still afraid?"

"I'm not afraid!"

"Play with me. I haven't had good exercise this past years," he said.

"Fine, I will!"

"Nanjiroh-san... we need to tell him," Rinko interrupted.

"Tell me what?"

"You will not go to Seigaku anymore. Sakuno and you will be the new prefects. Also, you will live here. We and your cousin will keep living in the temple. You are free to visit us but with Miyaki-sama always, wakarimasen?" she told him.

"You'll visit me, right?" tears were starting to fall on his eyes.

"Mochiron!" she answered.

"Wakarimasu ka..," he sadly replied and after that, they left.

He dried his tears. Most of the day, he spent his time inside his room, thinking about his past as a human. Now, he has to leave them all. It was a hard life to continue the blood line of his great grandmother but it was his fate. Also, he knows that he can still play Tennis with his senpais.

Yumiko went inside his room. She wears a comforting smile. Echizen smiled at her, stepped closer and asked for permission, "Can I take a bite?"

"Of course, you can!" she said. He licked her neck and took a bite quickly. After a while, he hugged her after two minutes of drinking.

Kaname finally felt happy in his heart. Seeing him with Yumiko, he saw Yuki's smile and told himself as he left the room, "Your enemies will pass first to me if ever they try to separate the two of you again!"
