Samurai's Red Eyes (Vampire Knight/ Prince of Tennis Fanfic)

Prologue

"Yamete kudasai oniisan!!!" screamed a young boy from the top of his lungs but the young, new born vampire doesn't stop drinking his blood. His instincts only tells him to quench his thirst by the blood of a human but when he finally stopped, he knew how horrible sin he had done. He became very much afraid of himself. Because of too much fear, he ran away quickly from the scene before anyone sees him.

Echizen Ryoma woke up from his nightmare. The sun isn't even rising yet. He knows that it was a long time ago when he isn't a servant of Yumiko, yet but it still is a horrible memory.

"What a nightmare... I should have forgiven myself already from that sin I have done."

Yumiko went inside and hugged him surprisingly. "Ah! Yumiko-sama!"

She gave him Zero's old badge and put it on his left shoulder. "Arigatou, Yumiko-sama," he said and smiled.

Yumiko looked at his eyes. It's obvious he had a bad dream. "What's wrong, Echizen?"

"I'm fine! Don't worry about me," he was definitely lying but Yumiko can quickly detect it.

"You don't need to lie you're fine. You're troubled by something, isn't it?" she told him. Echizen looked at her surprisingly. He was shocked that his master quickly read his mind.

"Yumiko-sama, all of our senpai are meeting together at the indoor Tennis Court, right?" he asked.

"Right," her olive-green eyes started making him feel fine. "You've slept all night. Why didn't you attend our classes last night?"

"I went really nervous about being a prefect. I just couldn't stand those girls screaming around me! They also know I study with our Senpais and so, they keep giving me chocolates and letters to give for them. I was just tired yesterday," he said.

Yumiko smiled and stood up. She knows that everything he said wasn't the whole truth, "It's fine if you won't tell me the whole reason why you look troubled when you wake up. Meet me at the tennis court, ok?" She left him alone in his room after a while.

He stood up from his bed and remembered sensing a man that has the same scent of his very first victim inside Cross Academy yesterday that night at the hall. It made him real afraid that he might be connected to the boy after all and decided to go back to his room to hide from him even he doesn't know if he knows who he is. This is the real reason why Ryoma did not attend classes that night.
