Chapter 21

It has been 3 weeks since they've finally got back together.  They've been inseparable that most of the time Karlie stays at Taylor's apartment, almost all of her clothes are in Taylor's closet, which the singer doesn't mind. Yesterday, Karlie has finally finished her PT sessions. She's finally fit to get back to her job. Within those weeks, Karlie's family received the good news about her condition. Karlie's parents were really grateful to Taylor for being there for her during her recovery.

This upcoming long weekend (holiday) is something they're both looking forward to. Every year Taylor's family stay at Taylor's Rhode Island home for the holiday. For the first time Taylor is bringing someone on that family gathering. Taylor has told her family, especially her mother about Karlie, but she hasn't told them much about the accident, never their relationship.. yet. Hopefully during their weekend gathering will be the time she'll tell them. She's very much excited to meet them and introduce Karlie to them, but at the same time worried as to how they're going to react. She hopes that this 4-day weekend will go well.

Morning

Though she's still sleepy from last night. Taylor wakes up and sees Karlie who's still in her deep sleep, goes to the bathroom to freshen up for the day. Immediately she prepares some scrambled eggs and some toast for them. She also prepared some coffee to wake her up. Moments later she prepares the breakfast on the island and starts to grab a bite  for her starving tummy. At the same she opens her laptop to check her email, there seems to be only one unread message, just a confirmation of their scheduled flight for their trip. After that's been set. She checks up on Tumblr. She doesn't always checks up on it, but sometimes, when Karlie isn't around she would sometimes check up on it. Seeing their ship in her dashboard of her alternative account. As she scrolls down she sees another update on a fan fiction that she got into recently. Before, she thought that it's weird to read one about them, but she cannot stand to read these kaylor fans' creativity.
Moments go by Taylor was into what she's reading that she didn't notice the giraffe creeping from behind.
"Boo" she whispers near the singer's ear. Jolting her, almost hitting the floor from her stool, but thanks to Karlie who held on to her shoulders she didn't.
"Karlie!" shouting at the laughing giraffe.
"Sorry!  I can't help it." tearing up from laughing. "you seem to be pretty glued on your laptop." she looks at the laptop but Taylor quickly closes it.
"Nothing. Ignore it." Taylor tries to change the topic too embarrassed to talk about it, but Karlie wasn't dumb to notice the singer's flushed cheeks and what she's reading giving her the same idea. She'll leave it... for now.

"Anyway! I prepared you some breakfast." Taylor said as she brings her food to Karlie, which Karlie really appreciated the gesture.

Karlie eventually started eating her food while Taylor drinks her coffee.

"Tired are we?" Karlie tries to be casual though she intends to tease the girl.

Taylor nods as she continues to drink her hot beverage.

"Was I that good last night?" Taylor chokes her drink, almost spilling her drink on her. "I suppose that's a yes." Karlie smirks at a her.

"Kar!" Taylor grabs a tissue to wipe the mess she made. "Stop it!"

"Sorry sorry." She giggles. "I'm just glad that I got my strength back after all those PT sessions."

"Well you better save some of it for the upcoming trip." After Taylor mentioned it, it made Karlie's mood go down. Taylor senses it, giving her a concerned look.

"Hey, we've been over this, they'll love you." Taylor holds on to Karlie's forearm.

"I know, I'm sorry.." She nods but still looking down. "I just get paranoid since they know that you took care of me while I was injured; that I made their daughter give a hard ti-" Taylor places a finger on her lips and gives her a endearing smile. "Hey, they'll understand, when they learned why.. Okay?" The singer rubs her thumb at the nape of Karlie's neck. 

"Okay." Showing that bright smile back on the giraffe's face. She gives her a warm hug to show her gratitude to the singer, "Love you." She whispers as she is faced at Taylor's neck.

"Love you too." Taylor rubs Karlie's back.

As they let go, Karlie started again.

"So how's the Kaylor fanfic that you've been reading." She gets a smack on the shoulder as a reply. "Karlie!" 

As Taylor waits for Karlie to cool down from her laughter, she gives her a smirk. "Actually, it's great. Got me an idea for what we can do in Rhode island." 

This shut Karlie up as she got curious all of a sudden. "What? What is it?" Karlie got excited.

"You'll know when were there." She lightly places her hand on Karlie's thigh for just a quick moment. Now its Taylor's turn to tease her. 

"What?! C'mon!" She says as she follows Taylor who's heading to the sink with the dirty dishes. "Please tell me." She pouts even if Taylor's not looking.

"No. If you try to force me, I won't do it." This gave Taylor the control now. She looks back at Karlie who's still pouting. She places a quick peck on her cheek and says, "So save your energy." Giving her a wink before she gets back to washing the dishes. Now Karlie is feeling all flushed. After that encounter she went to their closet as she prepares her stuff for the upcoming trip.

Hello! It has been a while now. I'm back in my college life, so it took a while for me to update and think about the story. I'm sorry that this update is short, this is just the filler for the next chapter. I think I might make this longer (i mean few more chapters). Anyway, I'll be updating this soon.
