((This is in Eren's POV))
I lost track of how long we'd actually been trying to fight off the Titans. They'd broke through wall Maria and god damn it, it was my childhood all over again. I could never get the sight of my mother's death out of my mind. I'd kept telling myself I'd kill every last Titan and that's what I planned to do. We'd been doing this for a couple hours now and go no avail were these Titans going down fast enough. It seemed like each one we killed, two more arrived. I knew I was running low on gas but I didn't think it would run out all the way. But mid swing, still in the air between two buildings. It ran out. Mid flight it ran out and I didn't have time to brace myself for such an impact. I landed shoulder first in an alleyway. I bit my tongue to keep back from screaming. Swords falling from my grip as I laid there in excruciating pain. My hand reached up and grabbed my shoulder that felt like it was shattered. I shifted awkwardly until I say up, eyes focused on the gloomy sky above. It was cloudy and the clouds looked like they were about the burst at the seems. They were dark and hiding all light that the sun would be giving off. I groaned and sighed gently. Was this it? Was this going to be my end? Stuck in an alleyway with a possible broken shoulder and no way of escaping. The ground shook with each step the approaching Titan took. "No..." I muttered. Standing up I grabbed the blades and held my ground. I wasn't going to go down without a fight. I was going to stand my ground and die fighting. I had to die a true man. I shut my eyes tight and chuckled lightly. I replayed the laughs I had with everyone. I guessed I lived a good life. The stomping got louder and as it got louder the vibrations on the ground got stronger. I looked up and could see it running at me. I couldn't call out for help, it's only lure in other Titans. When it was close enough to grab me I tensed up, watching it for a moment before it stopped completely and fell backwards. Someone killed it. Levi wasn't far from it, so I knew he had killed it. He jumped down and stood in front of me. "Not even going to fight?" His face the same as usual, looking so disinterested it was hard to tell if he saved me because he had too or because he wanted to kill another one of the bastards. I put the blades in their proper place and looked away from him. "I ran out of gas..." I muttered, probably sounding stupid. It was stupid of me not to refill them. "Your shoulder doesn't look too nice..." He commented as he glanced around. Levi reached out and picked me up. "Won't this-" I started tot all but he interrupted. "Don't question my actions. Would you rather stay here and be a snack?" His voice harsh and I didn't say anything in return. He was slowing himself down for me, I guess I could be thankful for that.
Despite the fact there were still many more to fight, Levi retreated me behind the wall. He didn't want to take risks that my shoulder was broken, if it was that meant it'd slow me down and I didn't need my ass saved for a second time. So, they wrapped my shoulder which had only been bruised and dislocated. They put it back in place, which was more painful than landing on it. When the sun set and it was roughly midnight it seemed Levi had returned, well he returned to come see me. I'd been told they killed the Titans off a good hour after I had to come back. I couldn't really sleep, the pain was throbbing in my shoulder and I didn't like the thought of my friends being out there without me. Levi entered and closed the door behind him. "Is it broken?" He asked, I knew he was talking about my shoulder. "No. Just dislocated and severely bruised. Said I should rest for a few days." I explained and Levi grumbled something under his breath. He pulled a chair over and sat next to me. I rolled my head and looked at him, hair slightly in my eyes. "I could've left you." He said, as if I didn't know that already. "I know." I replied and blinked a few times. He stayed quiet for a long moment before glaring. "That was your queue to ask why I didn't leave you, brat." Levi claimed sharply, as if I should've known that. "Okay, why didn't you leave me?" I asked, meeting eyes with him. I felt like cowering down as he moved and leaned his elbows on his knees. He came close to my face. At first I thought he was tying to read my mind, he was staring so hard I didn't know what he was doing. His hand reached out and clenched my shirt and pulled me in, closing the distance between our lips and he kissed me. I hadn't thought about my feelings for him till now. I wasn't opposed to the kiss. He pulled away and let go of me, sitting against the back of the chair and shrugged. "Too fond of you...brat." He said and smirked at me. I could feel all the blood in my cheeks. Levi stood and stretched his arms above his head. "Get rest. I need you out on the field as soon as possible." Levi claimed and my breath was caught in my throat. What just happened? How did he just seem casual about to?!
