Amanda looked around. Her Dad, Mom, the Minister, and the Master were there. She slowly removed the helmet. She looked as the faces with curiosity turned into surprise. Her Dad was looking at her with his mouth open. The Minister looked like he was dreaming. Her Mom looked like she was going to faint. The Master just smiled like he was a wise old hermit.

“You’re…..” was all she heard from the Minister.

“Amanda, is that you?” asked the King.

“Yes.” She said.

“What are you doing as the Knight?” he asked, his mouth was stil open.

“I am the Knight. I just won your tasks.” She said.

“But the Knight is one of the warriors of the kingdom.” Asked her Dad.

“That was me sneaking out to practice fighting.” She said.

She felt the need to make the Minister to sit down, in case he fainted. He didn't seem to have recovered from the whole thing.

“Your Majesty if I may say, she has done an excellent job in finding the riddles and winning. You ought to congratulate her.” Said The Master.

She could just hug the Master right there.

“But How could she have done this? You’re a girl.” Said the Queen.

“I have learned how to fight by hearing the Master’s class.” She said coolly.

“This is a bit unbelievable.” Said the King.

“You think I can’t fight?” she asked.

“No, I think it’s just rather surprising. “ he said.

“So, I’m gonna go on the task?” she asked.

“It’s too dangerous for you. We’ll find someone else.” He said.

“But I just completed those tasks. It can’t get more tougher than that.” She said cried.

“Yes, It can. This tasks were just a short version of how the real deal was going to be like. You are not prepared.” Said the King.

“But you just said I was going on the task that was before I took out the helmet. You just don’t think I’ll be able to do it cause I’m a girl. You were alright with it when I was The Knight, right?” she said.

That seemed to have made them all keep quiet.

“Well, As a girl , you are supposed to behave like one, not go fighting.” Said her mother.

“Why not? I am good at it.” She said.

“Because it’ll make you seem weird in front of others. Who’s heard of a girl who can fight? The embarrassment we’ll face! ” asked the Minister. He seemed to have found his words now.

“There’s always a first time.” She said.

“This is enough. You are not going on the mission. Go to your room. ” Said the King.

“I won’t.” she said.

“Why not?” asked the Minister.

“I have proved myself, and I need to know why I can’t be sent on the mission.” She asked.

“I’m not telling you, this is not matter of discussion for a girl. Now, GO TO YOUR ROOM!!!” shouted her father.

She was getting angry. But she did as she was told. She had enough of fighting for a day. All that tasks had taken away her energy. She needed some rest. She had thought that this would make them all convinced that she could fight. But they were not getting convinced any soon. She sat on her bed, crying, wondering why she couldn’t be like other girls. All girly. But she knew that she was not going to be like that. She was just who she was. It was useless trying to change it. And she was going to have things her way. The way its supposed to be. She was a bit surprised  to find a knock on the door.
