My dad, Tony was planning another party. Emphasis on another. This is what? The third one this week? Luckily, this wasn't a big party, God, those were the absolute worst. He invited just the avengers. Which I sorta liked. I like the avengers, especially Steve. But there's no way in hell I'm telling my dad. Or Steve for that matter.. Anyways, dad said the party was casual, so that basically meant that I still had to dress up, but in a less elegant way. And I appreciate that. So I got ready. I put on my cute little outfit and put my hair in a messy bun. I went downstairs and met my dad at the entrance to the party room. Well, ball room, but I wouldn't consider a bunch of drunks scooting around the floor a ball, but that's just me.
We got inside and we were both greeted by already tipsy avengers. Well, except for Steve, Banner, & Thor. Thor said something about them not bringing out the big gund yet, but I was too mesmerized by Steve to say anything back. He was wearing a pair of rather tight jeans and an extremely tight black button up shirt. Once I finally snapped out of my trance, I went to the bar where apparently everyone had traveled while I was zoned out.
"Y/N, you shouldn't be here, you're sooooo young!" Nat yelled causing everyone to look at me. It wasn't an aggressive yell, more in a playful manner but it still kind of upset me.
"I'm actually 21.." I replied, purposely being short with her.
"But you're still young. You'll be so drunk by the end of the night, your father here will have to carry you upstairs." Clint added, pointing to Tony. My dad just gave him a look of disgust and carried on making a drink.
"Excuse me, but I can hold my liquor." I cut in quite aggressively, making everyone's heads turn to me, "I mean, come on, I've had experience." I said, realizing that everyone was just kind of staring at me.
"I don't even wanna know.." My dad said, taking another sip out of his extra dry gin. God, I hate that stuff. It feels a giant cotton ball was stuck in your mouth.
I passed by everyone to go behind the bar and pick out something to drink. I had gotten a line of shots ready for me to down but then I heard a voice come from the other side of the bar.
"Y/N, are you sure you wanna do this?" Steve said, clear worry in his voice.
"Steve, I'm not a kid anymore, I can take it." I said, downing my first shot. The first one was easy. After that, it got harder and harder to swallow. Once I was finally done, I felt queasy but I felt like I had accomplished a life long goal. That's when I started seeing phosphenes. Then everything went black. Okay so maybe I couldn't hold that much alcohol.
I woke up to susurrus sounds. I opened my eyes to see Steve and My dad whispering at the end of my bed.
".. Well looks like now's a good time, Spangles." My dad shot at Steve, while looking back and forth between us.
"What's he talking about?" I asked Steve as my dad angrily marched out of the room.
"First, how are you feeling?"
"Little nauseous, small headache, now what the hell is my dad mad about?"
Steve clearly winced at my use of a curse word.
"He's mad because I like you."
"Some joke."
"What?"
"There's no way you like me. You're perfect and I'm me."
"Well, I do." Steve said grabbing my hand.
"Really?"
"Really. And guess what?" Steve asked, a smile forming on his face.
"What?" I replied, squeezing his hand a bit.
"Clint was wrong, I carried you up to your room, not your dad." Steve said, crawling into the bed with you.
