*The next morning*

*The iPhone alarm goes off*

(Maya sits up on the bed, and stands up)

Maya:  *walks to the bathroom* *when she looks in the mirror and she sees she has a huge hickey on her neck* *whispers to herself: shit!* *she walks more into the bathroom, shuts the door, and gets out her emergency turtle necks she has in there just in case something like this were to happen*

She changes into this turtle neck⬇️

Maya: *checks to see if the hickey is covered enough and it is* *sighs in relief* *runs downstairs with her purse that uses as as a backpack in her hand*

*in the living room*

Mayas mom: hi honey! *smiles*

maya: *whips her head around* mom?!?! *shocked* what are you doing here?!?!

Mayas mom: well i felt bad for leaving you to go to New York so I came back! *smiles* *notices mayas turtle neck* why are you wearing a turtle neck??? *suspicious*

maya: *eyes widen* *thinks to herself: crap what am I gonna do?!?!* uh it's cold outside. *lies and plasters a smile on her face*

mayas mom: it's 100 degrees outside. What's going on???

Maya: gotta go mom gonna be late for school! Glad your back! *runs out the door*

*maya walking to school*

Maya: shit what am I gonna do?!?! *she says to herself*

*at school*

Maya: *walks in school*

Riley: *sees Maya and runs up to her* hey peaches! *smiles* *notices her outfit* why are you wearing a turtle neck???

Maya: um I'm a little sick. I had a *fake coughs* cold last night and just to be safe I wanna stay warm. *smiles* *thinks to herself: yes! Good thing I'm so good at lying* 

Riley: oh ok. *smiles* 

*bell rings for the first class of the day*

Lucas: *walks up to them* let's go to class. *puts his arm around Riley's shoulder* 

Maya: woah what's going on here?? *meaning to why is Lucas's arm around Riley's shoulder*

Riley: oh Lucas and I are together now. *smiles*

Maya: what why didn't you tell me?!?! *shocked*

Riley: I tried calling you last night to tell you but you weren't answering. What were you doing??? *curious* 

Maya: *gulps* uh N-nothing I was asleep. 

Riley: you were asleep by 8:00? You're never asleep by 8:00. 

Maya: oh we better get to class! *Runs into mr. Mathews classroom*

Mr Mathews: today we are not going to be talking about how history changes us. Today we are going to talk about how emotions change us. You guys are getting older and your emotions are gonna try to control you. But the key to when that happens is for you to choose whether you want to let them take control or control yourself. If you let your heart take control and don't listen to your head there are going to be some bad consequences. So you don't only have to teach yourself to be smart but you also have to teach your heart to be smart too. So the question here is are you gonna listen to your heart and emotions, or are you going do the right thing and listen to your head and concussion?

*Bell rings meaning class is over*

Mr Mathews: class dismissed.

*Everyone walks out of the classroom*

Smackle: what was that lesson about?? He was acting like we were already having sex and so and so. 

Riley: I know right. *turns to Maya* what do you think maya??? 

Maya: uh why do you ask me? *nervous*

farkle: *is just on his phone* 

Riley: I'm just asking! Why are you being weird today? *raises an eyebrow* 

Lucas: *walks up to them* hey guys. *kisses Riley's cheek* wasn't that lesson in class weird? 

Maya: ugh! *mad* it wasn't that strange. Can we please change the subject?

Riley: sure.  Maya: *sighs in relief* thank you. 

Riley: how about we all have a movie night, Smackle can even come. We can see you guys do couplely things in action. *giggles* 

smackle: sure! What do you think honey?

Farkle: *puts his phone in his jeans pocket*  *shrugs* sure. 

Riley: great! *smiles* how about we meet tonight at my house at 8:00?

Everyone except maya: sure!

*bell rings for second period*

(Everyone says bye to each other and goes to their classes. Except maya who just stands in the empty hallway)

Maya: *says to herself* great! I have to watch the guy I'm in love with be all lovey dovey with his girlfriend all night. Yippee. *sarcastic*  *sighs and walks to class*
