No great smile's gonna tie me down
But you may well waste time trying
no one's little finger's gonna stop me now
because there's never ribbons that are worth tying
Cause the chance is fine and fine's my thing
it's a cheap-skate luxury, to lie and say I'm free as a bird
It's a liars attempt at an honest retreat, to say I'm roaming now, haven't you heard
I'm one for one and all for one and that's how I roll
Cause the chance is fine and fine's my thing
But I like the kitschy crap and the Hollywood tat
and the penthouse apartments, more flash than an old flat
( it's the same thing, better named)
slow-step dancing, so very sweet, entrancing
but the tango's got my better bet
Cause the chance is fine and fine's my thing
She wears a diamond choker and she smiles just like the joker
She's an iron maiden, said my self, she's down with dirty smokers
I've got a simple card hand but I'm not quite such the player as her
Cause the chance is fine and fine's my thing
