There was a knock on the door, then another, then another and yet another one: by the fourth knock, an extremely mad and sleepy blond elvish woman rose from her bed to go answer the door. Why did not Lewis just walk in as he usually did? Elizabeth kept thinking while she walked towards the door, trying not to stumble too much in her footsteps.

She opened the door quickly and, with her eyes still half closed, she screamed. 'What?' However, it wasn't Lewis's voice that came from the outside of her room in Thargorlum, but a feminine, yet rough, tone that she did not recognize.

'I thought you were already up.'

Elizabeth's eyes widdened and she blinked, as if there was a possibility of someone being there in front of her and she could not see it. Then her eyebrows furrowed at her own stupidity: Thargorlum. Dwarves. Down. And, at those three words, her head finally dropped down to stare at a female dwarf with a grumpy and strange face, red hair full of curls which were brushed up, as if she was upside down. The dwarf stared at her with dark brown eyes, studying her from head to toe.

'I thought you would be taller.' She finally let out.

The elvish Queen looked at the woman standing before her with an expression of astonishment, but then she smirked. 'I thought you would be taller too.' She answered.

The dwarf smiled at her and went into her bedroom without any sorte of invitation. Elizabeth, being still a tad sleepy, just shrugged and closed the door once more, crossing her arms in front of her chest and, after letting out of a loud and long yawn, she finally asked: 'Who exactly are you?'

'My name is Keziah, I'm the King's daughter and I was sent to show you and your friends around.' The female dwarf explained with one of her contagious smiles. 'You know, for an elf, you really are pretty.'

Elizabeth's eyebrows went up. For an elf? But then she grinned. 'Thank you.' Lizz paused to think about what she should say after: if she told Keziah that she was pretty, her nose would probably grow until it reached the surface. 'I like your hair.'

Keziah seemed to apreciate the compliment, as Elizabeth noticed her grinning at her. 'Thanks.' The dwarf lady exclaimed. 'Now, you better get dressed because we have a long way to go so that you don't get lost at Targhorlum, or at least here at the palace.' She explained, staring at Elizabeth so that the girl would dress herself. At first, the elvish Queen was too taken by surprise for actually doing so, since she was expecting her new acquaintance to leave so that she could take off her night gown, but, when she didn't, Lizz only shook her head and started her morning's routine.

'So... Elizabeth, how would you like me to call you?' Keziah asked, scrutinizing Elizabeth's bag, trying to figure out what elves wear to cover their bodies. 'Elizabeth is a pretty name, but it's far too long, don't you think?' The princess took out a bra from Lizz's bag and just stood there staring at it. 'Do you put this on top of your head?' She asked, turning to face Elizabeth, who was wearing only her panties.

The elvish girl tilted her head to the side so that she could see what the dwarf was holding and then she let go of a pure giggle. 'No.' She answered, taking it from Keziah's hold. 'We put this on our boobs.' She explained, trying it on to exemplify.

Keziah nodded with a puzzled expression. 'That's a brilliant idea. I really hate when I run and they are just like... hanging there. Shaking and hanging around, you know?'

The blond girl smiled, not really wanting to continue that conversation. So, she changed the topic. 'You can call me Lizz, if you want.' She said, answering the dwarf's question from earlier.

'Lizz.' Keziah said, trying the name so that she could know how it would fit on her tongue. 'Yeah, Lizz will do. I do like your actual name, but, well, you know: imagine you are going to fall of a cliff and I need to say your name so that you'll turn back, by the time I'm finished with the name Elizabeth, you'll already be dead.'
