Lewis was walking through the corridors, keeping up his pace so that he wouldn't leave Elizabeth and Nigel waiting for him much longer. The castle was in a complete fuss, since there were only three days missing to the Welcome Ball in honour of the Queen. The nobles were competing with each others to see which of them was going to wear the best clothes and jewelry, while the servants and maids were trying to get everything in order for the big event. Lewis smirked: he loved balls, he really liked all the running and see-if-everything-is-ready sort of thing the days before the party and, of course, he just loved the party itself! All the nobles trying to get each other into trouble, his sister hiting on Nathaniel, their parents trying to keep his sister from ruinning the party, he himself dancing with Nigel and trying to dance with Nate, which had never happened... It was just so fun! And, of course, Lewis kept thinking that this welcome ball would be the best ever, since there was Elizabeth (who was most fun than Nigel and Nathaniel) and, plus, there was Elizabeth and Nathaniel! The blond elf smiled to himself: he had chosen Lizz's dress for the ball and it was simply gorgeous, it would fit her like a second skin! Obviously, he hadn't shown her yet and he wasn't going to. «My little surprise.» He had told her, while thinking that the surprise wouldn't be only for her...

Lewis opened the door to the big room, from where the big table had been taken off, since the three friends would be using that space for their dancing classes. And why dancing classes? Because Elizabeth couldn't dance and neither did Nigel. Now, Lewis was aware that Nigel was complete lost cause on the dancing subject, but still, it was worth a try. He still had some hope for Elizabeth, though. She was awful at it, but he expected her to be able to dance with three or four nobles during the ball (and Nathaniel, obviously) without stepping on their feet more than six times.

The blond haired elf found his boyfriend and his cousin sitting on the big room's floor, both laughing at something. They both stared at him when he came in, giving him a smile. Lewis locked the door behind him and this happened for two reasons: first one, because the last time he hadn't locked it, Nathaniel came in, started joking about those two being terrible and almost got his head ripped off by Lizz; the second one was because those lessons were supposed to be a secret, since it wouldn't be a very nice thing if the whole court found out that their Queen couldn't dance.

'Hi there you two.' Lewis greeted taking off his sword and brown leather vest, which left him with a very light dark green shirt that went really well with his hair colour. 'Ready to do this?'

Elizabeth and Nigel exchanged a look, both thinking that they would rather be anywhere but there, no matter how much they liked Lewis. Nigel sighed and was the first one of the two elves to get up on his feet, offering a hand to Elizabeth right after, so that she could get up herself. And so she did, trying to keep her dark blue dress on its place, which wasn't happening.

Lewis looked at his two friends, thinking that Nigel looked really good that day, all dressed in black and his hair looking a mess. 'You'll be dancing with each other today.' The blond haired boy informed. 'My feet are still hurting from yesterday's lesson.'

Elizabeth smiled. 'We can postpone this lesson, if you want.' She said and Nigel nodded in agreement.

Lewis let go of a grin. 'Forget it, Lizzie. We have got to get you ready to dance with Nathaniel. He's quite a good dancer, you know?' The elf told his cousin with a wiggle of his eyebrows.

The blond girl rolled her eyes. 'I'm not dancing with him. In fact, I'm not dancing with anyone as far as I'm concerned.'

Nigel looked at his friend with a grin. 'Actually, you are. As the Queen, you'll have, at least, to dance with the regent to open the ball.' He told her.

Elizabeth shrugged. 'We could disguise Lewis, he is the one who looks the most like me and he knows how to dance. We dress him up, put him in a wig and he's ready to go!' She told Nigel, linking her arm in his. 'What do you think?'
