Dan awoke to Phil's beautiful laugh. As Dan's eyes fluttered open, they met beautiful shining eyes. Their color wasn't quite describable, but the closest they were to a color to Phil's eyes that Dan could name was blue. The bluest blue you had ever seen. Dan smiled at this and gave Phil a slight shove as he rolled over and crossed his arms, trying to fall back asleep since he always slept best next to Phil. "Daaaaaannnnnn, I'm hungry. Please get up? I'll love you forever." Phil whined, and Dan felt his stomach lurch at the word love. He knew Phil didn't mean it in the way Dan wanted him to, but whenever Phil said that word, Dan's mind was interrupted by fireworks thought his body. Dan playfully made a "humf" sound, pretending to be asleep. "But Danny, your Philly is hungry, and you know I won't walk around without you in your house." Phil whined again, and again Dan's stomach lurched. He just said the he was Dan's, but once again, it was all in a playful way. At this point, Dan's little brother walked in along with Jake.
"Phil, come on, Dad wants to talk to you over dinner. Also, Dan, Dad said that it was a special occasion or something, so he said there's chocolate cake for desert." At this, both Dan and Phil were skidding in their socks, having discarded their shoes sometime while asleep, as they both ran to get to the dinning hall. Aiden and Jake smiled as Aiden grabbed Jake's hand. "Their idiots..." Aiden whispered, leaning closer to Jake.
"It's not their fault that their clueless. Not everyone is lucky enough to realize the love of their life. Not everyone realizes the signs the way you and I did. Not everyone can be lucky like you and I, Aiden. Now come on, Love. I think we could both use some food. Coach worked us hard today." Jake whispered as his hand slipped from Aiden's and they waked slowly to the dinning room.
By this time, Phil had jumped over the banister, having gotten the lead by skipping the last few steps. But Dan was right behind his, so even when Phil had skidded to a stop, Dan had shoved right into Phil as they entered the dinning room. As they fell, Phil had fallen beneath Dan, cushioning the younger boy. Dan and Phil laughed, but stopped at the sound of Dan's father laughing. It was rare for Dan to hear his father laugh, so he savored the sound, since it reminded him of Mum. Mum was the only one who could ever make Dad truly laugh. So Dan rolled off of Phil and laughed, closing his eyes, remembering what it was like to have his mum. Before Phil, Dan had been extremely depressed. His mum had died when he was seventeen, and it was just over a year later that Phil had entered his life. Phil was the only reason that Dan believed there was divine power, because just as Dan's grip had weakened too much, Phil had caught him, and nursed him back to health and happiness. As Dan opened his eyes, Phil was starting to sit up, and Jake had entered with Aiden directly behind him, both looking at Dan and Phil as if they were the children. Granted, both of the older boys were much more childish then Aiden or Jake had ever been.
Dan whined as he pushed himself up and he stood, Phil right in sync with him as they both took the two chair next to Dan's father, Aiden across from Dan, Jake across from Phil. So, Phil and Jake were the closest to Dan's father, and Dan and Aiden were on the other side of Phil and Jake.
"Good, all counted for." He said as the cook Dan's father had hired served homemade pizza, each with their favorite toppings. "Now, Phil, I have good news for you. There is a producing job open, and when I mentioned you, the agency went overboard. They loved how I described you. They said that all you have to do is go in for an interview. There's only one problem." Dan took a bite of pizza as he stared between his dad and Phil, so extremely happy, since Phil only ever wanted to produce music. Though, Dan chewed slowly, waiting for the bad news. "You will travel much more, and have longer hours, meaning you would rarely, and I mean rarely, see any of your friends or loved ones." His father said, causing everyone at the table to frown. This was basically Dan's family. Even if he couldn't have Phil, didn't mean Dan didn't love him. His dad saw Phil as a son, and even Aiden said Phil would be the perfect brother. Not to mention Jake would be crushed since Phil was basically a second dad to him whenever he wasn't around his actual dad. Dan jumped when his father spoke again, since it had been so silent in the room before. "You have two months to decide since the agency is a mess right now."
