Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.

Ugh...

"Hello?" I answered the call, half asleep.

"Good morning, Lex!" Oh... it was Chase.

Why is he happy so early in the morning?

"Sure. Sure. What do you want?"

"Oh yeah! Well, I wanted to say that..." yeah... so I didn't really listen to what he was saying. I don't know for how long he was talking exactly, but I got bored.

"Wait. Stop talking first. Can you just call me later? Like at ten or something? I wanna sleep," I asked him.

"You weren't listening to me, were you?" he laughed.

"Sorry, but no. I was slowly falling asleep again," I admitted.

"If you listened, you would have known that it's already ten thirty, and you need to wake up," he reminded me.

"Seriously? Ten thirty already? I should go down or else they're gonna eat my food! Bye, thanks for waking me up!" I hurried to stand up, almost falling off my bed.

"Uhh sure, Lex," he chuckled.

I went out of the room and ran downstairs. Lucky for me, my brothers and Paige came down with me.

My food is mine. And mine only.

There were too many things that happened during breakfast, but the gist was that Alex made me food, it was amazing, and my brothers had a better bodies than Luke.

It was after breakfast when Mom called Alex's phone.

"Hello? Oh okay, wait. I'll put you on speaker," she covered Luke's mouth and put her phone on the table. He turned to her and raised his eyebrow.

Alex brought a finger to her lips, and Luke nodded, understanding what she was trying to say.

"Hi, Mom!" we all shouted at the phone.

"Hey, kids. I'm with your father, and we just wanted to tell you that we don't have any plans today. We were wondering if we could have picnic day?"

Picnic day? Hell yeah!

"We'll be ready by noon. That is unless Lexi and Ryder delay us like last time," Jackson agreed, already knowing we all wanted the picnic day.

"That's perfect. We'll be there around that time too," she announced.

"Bye, Mom!"

"Okay... so here's the thing, babe, it's picnic day today, which means you have to leave early. I'll talk to you later tonight," Alex explained quickly, "Now get your things because we have to get ready. I love you!"

"Uh ok? I love you too. Good luck with your day, I guess," he chuckled as he went upstairs.

"Did I just hear you say I love you, Alex?" Ryder spoke up.

"Yes. Now shut up and get ready," she pushed him up the stairs, "We can talk about this later."

I'm serious, she's more mature than Jackson is sometimes.

"Al—" Jackson didn't even say a word yet and Alex already pushed him up the stairs, right behind Ryder.

"Do you want to be dragged up the stairs or will you willingly go up, because I may have just recently broken my arm, but I can still carry the both of you up," Alex threatened.

"We'll go up now, won't we, Paige?" I elbowed her, and we ran up.

"I'll just clean up here then. I'll come up after 30 minutes. You should be done, Lexi!" she called after me.
