Our friends were about to come over and meet our parents. Very surprisingly, it was really easy to convince them.

Flashback:
"No, I'm not kidding, Luke. Yes really. You have to come. My uh... my dad kinda sorta might want to meet you," well, that was Alex. And it was pretty obvious that she was more stressed than all of us combined.
It was kind of a big thing for her.
"Chill, Alex. I'll call Maia to ask her if she can come. If she says yes, I can just tell her to drag her brother along with her. It's that simple. Okay?" I offered, laughing a little.
I was serious with what I said though. And if I told Maia to do that, I was pretty sure she'd be delighted to do it.
"Don't you dare. He already told me that he can come the moment you threatened to ask his sister to drag him here all the way from their house three blocks away," Alex told me looking really annoyed.
I nodded, "Uh huh. Sure, I can just tell her to do it some other time."
I called Maia not so long after and being the amazing sister I was, I completely disregarded everything Alex said, and I told Maia to literally drag her brother when she came.
I called Zach and Dylan after she put the phone down, and in less than five minutes, all my three closest friends agreed to come to the house to meet my mom and dad.
Wait, what is this? A meet and greet?

"Lexi, you should've seen his face when I started dragging him here. Priceless," she laughed.
"It usually takes five minutes for me to get here walking, but my brother's really heavy, and it took ten minutes. And our house is right there!" She pointed at a house about three houses across the street.
"Please tell me you took pictures," I told her as I closed the door.
"Of course, you have to see them," she took her phone out and showed me the pictures and after a good five minutes of laughing and rolling on the floor, we went up to my room.
"Lexi, what did I tell you? I'm pretty sure I reminded you not to tell Maia to drag Luke here," Alex was on the verge of screaming, but she was trying to stay as calm as possible.
Because if she exploded, her hair would be ruined, and she was gonna cry. I was pretty sure her make-up was waterproof though. Especially that eyeliner and mascara.
"Well, I just felt like it had to be done," I smiled as innocently as I could.
"Oh so you think this is funny huh? You're so gonna get it!" she was about to charge at me, but luckily, Luke was able to restrain her.
"Hey, babe, it's fine. It's a little thing. Let's just go down because I'm really nervous right now," he saved me. Great guy.
"I'd sleep with one eye open if I were you, Alexis," Alex threatened, "Let's go, Luke. I need to get you ready. I need my girls here..."
Alex left the room, Luke trailing behind her like a lost puppy. Poor little boy was in love. I was pretty sure it was the same with Alex though. It was obvious they cared so much about each other.
"That was a stressful conversation, wasn't it? Now we have about thirty more minutes to waste before the others arrive. We can play some video games in Ryder or Jackson's room," I suggested.
