The smell of perfume flooded my nostrils as I entered my sisters' room. Alex was going to Prom with Luke, and she was getting herself ready while Lexi watched her from her bed.

"Did you find the earrings?" Alex asked, looking at me in the mirror of her vanity.

I nodded, walking over to her before opening my hand to reveal the earrings. Alex asked me to find them in our mom's jewelry case. Finding the earrings wasn't hard. The hard part was looking for the key that got the box open.

"Thanks," she smiled, taking them from me. "Any updates from Jax or Mia?"

"None, but they're working on it," I replied.

When Jackson first introduced our mission to us, he said we'd take a month max to get eveything done. I kind of didn't buy it anymore when I was told that we were getting an extra person on our team to help. Such an easy job shouldn't require five people.

I was right. It had been almost six months since we started, and all we had was our target's location... on most days. We were looking into a warehouse we thought she might be at.

That's all I knew, and my sisters were already caught up to that. Jackson and Mia were still trying to make sure that we had the right location. If we were lucky, we could strike within five days, and everything would be over.

"Okay," Alex accepted. "You can go now if you want to or you can stay too."

"I'll update you if they say anything," I walked out of the room.

I made my way over to Jackson's room. Both he and Mia were there, extremely focused looks on their faces as they typed furiously on the keyboards in front of them.

My brother had an insane computer set-up in his room. When he first got it, his excuse was that he was going to use it to game, but that was all a cover up for everything else he was doing for work.

Mom and Dad bought it for him, but honestly, if he'd bought it as an investment for our job, he would've already made that money back easy.

The reason we kept working for TSSA wasn't really just because we thought it was cool, which, I'll admit, it was, but more because they paid big money. Not only that, but the contacts you got were amazing, and they didn't leave even when you already stopped working there.

There were a lot of big people that looked to TSSA for justice and safety.

"Alex is leaving in probably thirty minutes. Anything new?" I dragged a chair over to the desk to check out what was going on.

"We locked it down to this general area," Mia gestured at the screen. "If we get footage of her there, we might have to go in tonight so we can finally get her."

Jackson nodded. "If all goes well, everyone there will also be taken to custody and questioned."

"Does that mean that Alex will have to leave the Prom early?" I wondered.

Mia shrugged. "I hope not, but if we find a chance, we can't let it slip away again."

"Makes sense," I nodded in understanding. "Lexi's gonna come help once Alex leaves."

"Sure," Jackson turned back to his monitor. "But for now, make yourself useful and get the tech ready."

It wasn't at all surprising to me that Luke won Prom King. After all, basically eveyone at school worshiped him. The seniors were no exception to that.
