Leo and Calypso's Garage

Chapter 1

Leo

The war against Gaea was over. You could say the demigods won, but none of them were happy about it. Even Coach Hedge, who was like a little girl meeting Justin Bieber when it came to war, wasn't as loud and hyped up as he had been before. Yeah, he would try to pep the teenagers up, but he knew there was no point. Leo assumed that they'd go back to normal, eventually. He knew that things wouldn't be exactly the same because of all of the losses they suffered through, but he knew things would get better...well, he'd hoped. 

Leo was in the engine room sitting. Just sitting. Everyone else on board the Argo II was asleep, so he wouldn't have to worry about someone thinking him a freak for hiding out with all of the machines. He could hear everything in the room. He felt safe there, almost like he was back in Bunker 9.

But quietness makes thoughts louder. Leo didn't need memories of the war replaying in his head. He couldn't stop them, though.

Turning and seeing Percy with a face so bloody, his actual skin color was invisible. Oh man, Piper was a total wreck. Hazel wasn't much better. Annabeth seemed to be the only girl who wasn't scared...she was just numb.

All eight of them were still fighting when a shiver went up Leo's back and his stomach dropped. He knew someone had tried to stab him from behind.

He had to look down at his stomach to make sure there wasn't a blade sticking through him. There wasn't.

Leo whirled around, with a fireball in each hand, to find Nico gasping on the ground.

Leo thought  Nico had despised him. Nico had never said more than a few words to Leo and he had just taken a knife for him.

Leo's brain had tried to process what had happened, but soon realized that he had to act quick or else he'd die.

Leo pegged the fireballs at the monster that had killed Nico. A scream erupted from Leo's throat and-

No. Leo couldn't think about this any longer. He needed to get the nightmares out.

He focused on the soft hum of the engines around him and eventually fell asleep.

Sorry about Nico, guys... There will be more on him. This was a very short chapter (it wasn't even a chapter) but it was just an intro kinda thing.
