Leo
Everything hurt. Everything.
Leo couldn't believe he had been shot by a mortal! Not some scary monster from the depths of Tartarus, but someone in a plane.
Calypso had almost been shot. She would've died if she was an inch away from where she was standing. Leo couldn't have saved her. That was all he was focused on doing; keeping Calypso safe.
And he had been lying on the floor, helpless.
Thankfully, when Leo woke up Calypso was next to the cot that he was on, uninjured.
"Are you okay?" was the first thing he mumbled. Calypso looked surprised to see him awake.
To Leo's surprise, she took his hand and her eyes started getting watery.
"Leo, oh my gods. You're awake. How do you feel?"
"I'm fine, but how are you? Did you get hurt?"
"Yes, I'm fine, but Leo, you have been unconscious for two days! I-we thought you were going to die! You lost so much blood..."
"Two days?" He allowed his hand to wrap around Calypso's, slightly.
She nodded. "I have to go tell everyone that you're awake." And just like that, she was gone. Leo didn't even get a thank-goodness-you're-alive kiss.
A few minutes later, all of his friends were crowded around him asking him how he felt and what hurt and blah, blah, blah.
Thankfully, Coach Hedge knew some first aid and had made Leo a temporary cast around his leg. They had an extra pair of crutches for Leo to use.
They'd be back at Camp Halfblood in a few days.
The day after Leo woke up, he was able to move around with the crutches. Calypso came into his room and asked if he wanted anything to eat.
"This is awesome! You're like my personal assistant!" he teased.
Calypso rolled her eyes. "I am most definitely not."
"Please?"
"No. If anyone is going to be waiting on anyone, you will be waiting on me."
Leo grinned. "Is that right?"
Calypso crossed her arms and nodded.
Leo sighed. "Alright. If you say so." Leo swung his legs over the bed and got up with the crutches under his arms.
"No, Leo, don't. Just, lay down."
Leo laughed. "No, no. Princess needs some food. Some food she will get," he said, giving Calypso a wink.
Calypso grumbled something that Leo couldn't hear.
The two of them made their way to the kitchen and took a look in the cupboards.
"Alright," Leo summed up. "We have nothing."
Calypso opened the refrigerator. "There is lettuce and tomatoes."
"Let's make a salad," Leo said. "Have you ever had a salad?"
Calypso laughed. "I've lived on an island for forever. I have had a salad."
Leo crutched himself over to her side. "Okay, Sassypants. How do you know it's called a salad? I know it's not what they called it in ancient times."
She rolled her eyes and faced him. "Some gods visited me and kept me up to date with some modern news."
"So you know that I won sexiest man alive last year?" he said, grinning and stepping closer.
