Leo

Today was the day, Leo thought, bitterly. The day of confronting the gods.

Leo stood up in the engine room and stretched. He ran a hand through his uncombed hair and opened the door to leave. Piper was standing there. She looked surprised when she saw Leo.

"Gods Leo! How could you do that to us?"

Leo instantly felt guilty. They were mad about Nico. Leo was the reason he died.

Leo didn't say anything for a moment. He only focused on not punching the wall.

Piper pulled him into a strong hug and mumbled, "We've been looking for you."

Leo sighed. She wasn't mad at him for Nico's death.

Leo's arms wrapped tighter around Piper. It felt good to hug someone. After the war was over Hazel hugged Frank, Piper hugged Jason, Annabeth hugged Percy. Leo got not-so-enthusiastic claps on the back. He didn't need a girlfriend, but it would be nice to have someone to hold once in a while.

That thought brought other thoughts to Leo's head. Thoughts that went under the biggest topic in his brain...Calypso.

Yep. They had just fought 'Mother Earth' and Leo was still thinking about Calypso.

It wasn't like their kiss had meant anything. Calypso probably only kissed him because she had kissed all of the other guys that came to her island and she didn't want to break tradition.

Though, Leo had made a promise. A promise he was still determined to keep, but not just because he'd die if he didn't. There was a slim -very slim- chance that Calypso would grow to like him and there was a very large chance that he liked her...a lot. Not that he'd admit it to her, or anyone, really.

Whatever, romance wasn't a Leo thing. He was better riding solo.

He realized he was still hugging Piper, and pulled away. There were tears in her eyes.

"Sorry, Pipes," he mumbled.

She gave a little laugh and wiped her eyes. "Why?"

"He's dead because of me."

Her smile disappeared. "Leo, you didn't kill him."

Leo felt his hands getting warmer.

No fire, he told himself, I can't hurt Piper, too.

"If I had been watching my back, he'd be alive."

"C'mon Leo. You can't blame yourself for what happened. It's not fair."

Leo knew that there was no use arguing with Piper. He could feel the charmspeak getting to him.

"Alright," was all he said.

Piper looked at him with eyes full of sadness. She didn't believe him.

"Let's go upstairs. Everyone else is looking for you."

He mumbled and apology and started to head up to the deck.

Once all of the demigods were together at their dining table, Percy and Jason started going over what would be happening on Olympus.

They'd walk in, all formal like, confront the gods, be respectful, tell them of all of the fallen warriors who fought in battles, then leave and resume their lives at the camps.

Leo didn't know what to expect of the gods. Would they be in their Greek or Roman forms?

Whatever. He was only focused on asking them to free Calypso. He didn't care if they were going to grant them a wish, or whatever it's called, or not. He was going to get Calypso free no matter what.
