Soon, it was my turn. My baby was going to be brought into this world. I screamed as the contractions became unbearable. River squeezed my hand and told me I was doing great. I felt fat tears roll down my cheeks. Dr. Sevon told me to just give another push. And with that, I heard the most angelic sound I had ever hear, the cry of my...
"It's a boy!"
Son.
I beamed up at River who beamed down at me. We were in a blissful moment when the doctor burst in and announced that I could hold my baby. When they placed the bundle of joy into my arms. I looked down at my son in amazement. He was so perfect, so small. He had my nose mint green eyes and River's lips and nose. His hair was black and curly, also like River's, and he was also giant. Just like his father. He weighed eight pounds and six ounces. River looked at us with astonishment and wonder.
I placed my baby into River's arms and watched him hold his son for the very first time.
"What are you going to name him? Not after your father, I recall."
"Yeah," I nodded, "I think I'll go with Isaac. He looks like an Isaac."
"You bet he does," he kissed Isaac's forehead and then my lips, "When the doctor gives the green light, you and I are going for baby number two."
"Is that so?" I smiled softly, "I can't wait."
I had three more children with River. I had another boy, Griffin, and another boy, Xander, and then finally, a baby girl. Emmy.
She was undoubtedly my favorite. She looked exactly like me and was tiny, four pounds and seven ounces at birth. The only thing she got from River was the curls, but they were still pale orange like my hair. She had mint green eyes and tan skin and she was so perfect I loved her to death. River was going away more and more, saying that his industry was getting more busy.
Of course, I knew he was just going out to see hookers. I didn't care. I cared about my babies. Of course, when he brought one home and started kissing her in front of Isaac, I flipped out.
"RIVER IF YOU'RE GOING TO FUCK GET YOUR ASS IN A BEDROOM AND LOCK THE DOOR! DO NOT GET DIRTY WITH SOME WHORE IN FRONT OF YOUR SON!"
